Create your own festival
This thread will probably get about three responses, but if it was a good thread idea at 3 in the morning, that makes it an objectively good thread idea! Right?
Anyway, the situation is thus: You're approached by a consortium of large independent record labels and DJs. They've found themselves a nice big field somewhere fairly central to the UK and easily accessible by road and rail - near Manchester, say - and they're looking to stage a new one-day festival over two stages, one outdoor and one in a tent (capacity about two thousand). Somehow they've heard about your legendary taste and discerning judgement, and wish for you to select and book the acts.
You can pick any still-touring bands you wish, and there are ten or so berths for each stage plus late-night DJ sets. Obviously you can't have big names in every slot - after all, Radiohead are hardly going to agree to a half-hour opening slot, and Basement Jaxx probably won't want 45 minutes in midafternoon. So, speaking realistically, what does your ideal lineup look like?
