Fury-meet/pa-meet

We (Avarin and me) decided that its time to organise a
Fury-meeting. No Excuses, you all have to attend.

Of course we`d like (and expect) to see a good deal of Non-Fury`s too.

So here's the Deal:
The meeting will take Place in Cologne, germany on the weekend of
Friday the 13th of December till Sunday the 15th of December. The Round should
be pretty much over then, or decided at least.

We picked Cologne because it's pretty central in Europe (we are keen on
getting as many Fury's here as possible). Very near to the border of the
Netherlands. Also many english peeps visit Cologne on Weekends, especially in the time
before Christmas. The Airport is a Base for several cheap Airlines (only
Ryan-Air does not have its German Base here).
Well, we admit that us living here played a Role, too.

There are 2 official Youthhostels and 1 private Youthhostel in Cologne.

Prices here range around 20 Euros per Night, including Breakfast (further
Meals and lunch-packets can be purchased at 4 or 5 Euros per Meal).
To stay at one of these 2 Youthhostels only one of a group has to be a member of Hostelling

How to get to Cologne:

We think everyone should be able to find out how to get here by Car by
himself. If not, contact us and we will help.
By Car, you`d need, say,about 4 1/2 hrs from Paris or 1-1 1/2hrs from
Maastricht or Arnheim, about 2 1/2 hrs from Amsterdam.

Cologne is very easy to reach by Train, too, just call your local
Train-station. Once again: Problems --> contact us.

Also keep in Mind, that for example Düsseldorf-Airport is reachable by Train
from Cologne in about 30-40 min, for about 6 Euros single Fare.

By Train you need between 3 and 4hrs from Frankfurt-Hahn-Airport to Cologne-Central-Station, depending on what Train(s) you take. Prices for a single Fare range between 14 and 20 euros, depending on which train you use, what Age you are (those older than 27 (I believe) won`t be able to use a Twen-Ticket, hehe), how many People are traveling together and which Day you travel on. This is not a german PA-Meeting, we already have Peeps from England, the Netherlands, Belgium attending, so do not fear, we won't spam you in German.

Seeing as the probable End of PA is near (or even at Hand) this could be a Chance for all, to sit down with the Enemy and drink down all past Grudges with a few pints of Beer and exchange Memorys. So I really ask all of you, if you can come, come. If only for a Day, for a few hours. (And Beer is really cheap here, at least compared to GB and Scandinavia ).

Then, when we think we have gathered all the People, we will proceed to invading Cologne`s Old City. Where we will have a pleasant Evening in several Brewing-houses.

On Saturday, we will first make a small Tour of Cologne, showing some of the more important Sites (Avarins and mine favorite Pubs and such ). Don't worry, we won't delve too deeply into historic Sites and such.

In the Evening we will visit either the Students-Quarter or the Southern-City.

If the Demand is there we will do something on Sunday aswell.


More precise Times and Places for Saturday will be posted on Thursday.

I advise all of you, contact either Avarin, Milky or me via E-Mail, IRC or Boards-PM, so we can feed you some info on how to reach us during the Meet. (In Case it was a spontaneous decision to come, or you missed a Meeting-Time, don't find your way, whatever. )

These are our Meeting-Points for Saturday:

At 14.00 we will meet at the great Rider-statue at Heumarkt (adjacent to the Old-City).This is also a station of the city-train-line 1. From there we will make our Tour of the City.

Next Meeting is at 20.00, same Place. Then we will invade the Student-Quarters in the southern city.
