Outline of The New Round

vVv wishes to extend its ranks before round 8, the last round, begins. This means that vVv must recruit via any means it can find, and one of the best methods we feel, is the alliance Recruitment forum. In the post I will relay all relevant information about vVv to give you a clear picture about us.

Story in a Tea-Cup

vVv is an abbreviation of: Venimus Vidimus Vicimus wheich stands for We came, we saw, We coquered.
vVv's life began at the start of round 6 when WillD, Geert and Draakje formed it. The round was a sucess and vVv continued to grow until they were noticed by the Wolfpack Alliance. The vVv High Council accepted an offer to become a wing of Wolfpack. This deal was however not carried out in a proper manner so mid way through round 7 negotiations stopped and vVv went solo again. Around three quater way through the round, Drengar, an HC at the time, had a disagreement with Geert, causing vVv to split, the other half of vVv, Sensation, left and formed their own alliance, This left vVv short of numbers and nearing rock bottom. However we have worked our way back up and are hoping this will be the last storm in our tea cup. Currently, vVv has members in many different countries around the planet and is looking forward to the future...

The Future

vVv still has a round left in its tank, and with the help of new members, we wish to have the best round yet. vVv has come back from the parting of Sensation and wishes to continue its rise.

The Command

The High council are the people that primarily lead the alliance and make the day to day decisions. They are as following with a short descriptions of each ones duties:

Geert - He is the diplomatic point man and is useful for everyday running of the alliance.

Neo666 - Neo is the diplomatic and negotiating expert and is also a great source of information, if you have a question, hes the man to ask.

WillD - He is the general odd job HC and is always ready to help members with problems, Internal command.

DemonHunter - He is the military commander and will be in charge of vVv's military workings.

Statick - He is the guy that holds vVv together, His job is to keep the vVv site up and make sure it is all in working order.

The officers are the people ranked below the HC who help the HC run the alliance, they might be specialised in certain areas. The Officers are as follows: (In no particular ranking order)

Slick - Slick's main job is to be an advisor to the High Council, this means him giving an opinion on whatever decision need to be made and directing the HC the best way to go. He also has a keen eye for negotiating.

DavieB - Joint head of recruitment for vVv, He operates out of #vVv-Rec along with Chunky and will be happy to help you out.

Chunky - Joint head of recruitment along with DavieB, I also help with the running of the private vbulletin forums.

Telescope - Also a handy member of the recruitment team, as all Command staff, ready to help you and members out and also does general officer work, odd jobs.

Why Us?

vVv has the strength and depth in command to make this last round a great sucess, but this is nothing without members. Currently our active member base is around 30 and we clearly wish to extend this in the coming round, we have plans, we have ideals, we have the determination.

Requirements

Currently, The only requirements to join other than that you are in no other alliance and that you are active and will continue to be in round 8. An active member is a good member. We have no desire to have members who are amazing in the game, yet fail to be active on irc, we have no use for you. Activity is the key.
As we have a private IRC server, the recruit must also be able to open two IRC servers at once.

#vVv - This is the public channel. Feel free to idle here.
#vVv-Rec - This channel is used for recruitment purposes, If you wish to join you will need to go here and pm an op on duty.
#vVv-Radio - This is the public channel of our radio station.

http://vVv-shop.cjb.net/ - This is the vVv online store, Those are quite nice T-shirts actually

Recruitment Team - Any queries you have about vVv's recruitment policy should be directed towards a member of the recruitment team. - DavieB, Chunky or Telescope.

To Join

To apply for membership at vVv simply follow these 4 simple steps:

1) Go to #vVv-Rec and wait for a recruiter or op to become available.
2) Private Message them and wait for reply.
3) When private messaging the recruiter you must participate in an interview. Your performance in this interview is the deciding factor in wether or not you are allowed to join.
4) Follow the instructions given to you by the recruiter.

If for any reason you should need help on any aspect of vVv, an available op will be happy to help you in #vVv or if you prefer Forum Message me and I will try to answer your query.

Nah ur right though, Chunky is great, and I know Geert very very well too. vVv is an alliance with tremendous prospects in the PA world, and I hope you continue to progress well!

As a new member I must say that I am impressed with the organization. vVv is a top flight alliance in my opinion. I would advise anyone looking for an alliance to check out vVv before joining any other.

So does vVv have any allies for next round, or any plans to form any allies? I'm just wondering if you are planning on going it all alone now you have parted from WP or if you feel like trying to form your own collective as it were.

I never said it did.

Its just that most decent alliances tend to have grouped into mini-blocks over the past few rounds:

Auld - hirr, ND + 1 or 2 others

Core - g-ii, rock, templar
<insert name here> - acid, angel, 4D, VcX (i think)
Shogun - i'm not so well up on them so i dont know who it contains or if they are still around.

Perhaps with round 8 going random and being the final round of PA this will change things and the larger alliances wont block together, which would hopefully perculate down into the smaller alliances stopping them from grouping together.

This question I'm sure was directed toward the commanders of vVv. As I'm just a member, I am not privy to any information regarding negotiations with any potential allies. But judging from the depth of leadership experience within vVv, I would be very surprised if the HC are not considering or are already involved in the previously mentioned negotiations. This information may well be kept secret for obvious reasons.

Does being named in a thread really mean that much to you? In my opinion a HC should work hard for his alliance for the enjoyment and reward of seeing his efforts pay off when the alliance becomes big, not for the 'fame' of becoming a big name player that gets mentioned on PA forums

In fact, it was due to drengar's continuous moaning that he had to be HC, which he was anyhow! Was just a huge mistake, giving him anything of importance
