I would love to actually hear what would be new in round 15 abit earlier than before so that alliances actually could start planning for the new round. I feel that holding information back isnt any good for the community and that I would love for actually someone in the PA crew to come with something concrete instead of alot of rumorspreading on irc. So Kal, or anyone else from the PA-CREW, any news on round 15?

I'm not sure if there will be many changes to round 15 other than the way galaxies and exiles are setup. However, given that Pa-Team have also not made a final decision on that, who knows.

I think from an alliance's point of view, start dates are more important, which again ties into how far decisions have been made with regards the new galaxy and exile systems.

The intention is to have Round 15 wrapped up by Christmas and given it is likely to be a 10 week round you can roughly work out when it would start.

A lot depends on how Kloopy gets on when he returns from holiday.

So thats mid oktober/late oktober. What about the promised changes, when will we get more information about that. That is relevant information for us who wants to start planning for the next round.

I doubt any of the changes (other than proposed galaxy system changes) will significantly affect alliances other than perhpas some small things that might make some HC tasks easier.

Round XV will be predominantly bug fixes and minor changes as with Kloopy only starting coding when he return from holiday, and with the intention to finish the round before Christmas there really isn't much time for anything else.

A couple of points: alliance merges will most likely not be allowed, or at the very least much more restricted
alliance size may be smaller, but not in the significant manner suggested on various forums - as theese are both alliance issues, expect news on them via the alliances channel/forums before any offical announcements on round XV are made.

To counter the fact many alliances can't cope with 100 member limit, how low will you reduce it to? 80? 60? 50 even?

there is a suggestions forum discussion, and an alliances forums discussion on this - opinions are shall we say "mixed"

I thought round 15 was going to be the round with all the new shiny changes etc.. I guess PA crew keeps pushing it forward and forward...

the current coding situation has been explained by biffy, and I think its reasonably clear why this won;t be the case, though ofc there is the chance that Kloopy becomes a coding demon and that miracles happen.

changes are being discussed on the suggestions forums and the strategy forum - yes they will change

It is extremely highly likely that the Ship Stats will change - however it is also likely that they wont be changing much - Appoco and i have agreed to use This round's ship stats as a starting point, and just move to correct the most obvious flaws (namely, the Sent, but other things as well).

Bout time we moved back to the system of tweaking stats and not starting from scratch each round!

The thing I enjoy about starting from scratch each round is, well, the new strategies that have to be thought up. Otherwise imo this round is rather like a 'practice'.

But yeah, its always nice to have fairer stats

I don't think I'm even going to play next round... I mean - the new stats are always fun to play with, but other than that PA is just one big addictive waste of time and effort.
