The problem with the DE fleet, was that it didn't target any of the defenders (except wyverns and pulsars which were out attacking anyway) . So that made it easy to defend against (free salvage!). ...

It's all about pecking order: bwtmc hits ChubbyChecker (in a much smaller gal) who hits me (in an ever smaller one). Being at the bottom sucks though. :p

Of course. When you're attacked by a DE-fleet, there's few anti-DE ships around. When you're attacking with a DE-fleet, there's plenty. It's called Murphy's Law. ;)

For anti-bs, speaking as a terran, I would rate the ships like this: pirate > peacekeeper > chimera > black widow. So, yes, stockpiling peacekeepers will make me think twice before attacking you...

As seen, according to the manual, the bravey factor is capped at 20, not 200. So in your example above, it would be 200 XP for 10 roids capped. Not that absurd, is it?
