tea troubles
I just spilt tea on my sky remote and it's stopped working!
I now have to get up and change the channel or watch Newsnight.
Edit: Does the really UK think that the people they deport won't be tortured or don't they care?

They don't care. It's fun!
(and you should disassemble your remote and wipe each part)

Re: tea troubles
leave it somewhere to dry out, there is a good chance it will work again after a while.

Re: tea troubles
Have a child, wait till it grows up and then make him/her get up and change the station for you.

I think the people that are deported will end up in heaven with 20 virgins, the sooner the better.

if they're being deported to countries with legal systems based on sharia law, they should be happy
...and if they are executed, well they're sure enough that there's a glorious afterlife when it comes to encouraging suicide bombers, so again, they've got everything to gain!

Re: tea troubles
I can't help but think the title of this thread should be more to do with "Sky Remote Control Troubles". The fact that tea was spilt is irrelevant, it's the damage to the remote that your concerned about.

Re: tea troubles
But the tea went over the sofa as well therefore making it "Sky Remote Control and Sofa troubles" which is way too long. Plus I wasted tea so "tea troubles" was easier.
I know what I'm doing.

Dry it, test it.
Soak in water, Dry it, Test it.
Bake in owen for 10 mins at 100c (don't go much over, lead melts at ~170c), Test it
The soaking part obviously removes sugar and the rest of the stuff, and the baking part may restore corroded lines on the print.
