Maybe he's happy because he knows England won't win the world cup and therefore Errikson would not become manager of Aston Villa.

You mean the guy who spent 210M to get Lazio 1 serie A title?
Hopefully this is all part of the conspiracy to get Stuart Pearce where he rightfully belongs

Why are all England fans so deluded as to believe that England could actually win the WC?

Because stranger things have happened, and the England team has a top class player in just about every position?

Did he actually say "The day England win the world cup, I'll agree to be the Villa manager" perhaps?

that is true but their play does not represent that. they have a quality, that I can't quite put my finger on which means they don't play very well together. they lack a cohesion that the best teams seem to have, even though they have had pretty much the same team for years.

Re: [Football] Yippeee I A, Yippeee I O, Sven Goran Eriksson in the sky
The undercover reporter was a fake sheikh telling Eriksson he was either going to take over Aston Villa or start a super club in the middle east and did he want to be manager of it once his england contract ran out if he was paid £15m a year.
It's an absolutely stupid story written by a stupid newspaper that proves nothing.

i read david o'leary is the 2nd highest paid manager in the premiership so doubt sven would cost a great deal more...

It's fun listening to all the wriggling out he is doing.
And pig, why god why do you want Sven to manage Villa, aren't you doing badly enough?

Sven isnt my first choice exactly if O Leary is ever fired.
I think O Leary has done a decent job so far, atleast in bringing ni players. Most of the players hes brought in ive thought were very good before they were bought(except Bakek but hes proved me wrong).

Re: [Football] Yippeee I A, Yippeee I O, Sven Goran Eriksson in the sky
Combining Sven and Villa. You may as well move the ground to Transylvania or something and appoint Saddam as director of football, as im not sure theres any other way Villa could get shitter.
Incidentally, the only option for english players, fans, and the media, to react to this, is to ignore it and pretend it isnt happening. If this was 1 year ago, hed be sacked and someone competent could be brought in. Unfortunately, you're screwed.
