Galaxy members can now choose whether or not their distorters affect their galaxy mates in the preferences screen

Does that mean all the galaxy players will be able to scan you, or only the 'trusted' ones ?

This way it's more of a two edged sword, and not such an easy choice to make. If you got the ability to, for example, just select who your distorters didn't apply to, it'd be fair more of a no-brainer
The only thing which you just made me think of was new members joining the galaxy being able to scan.

It might also be a good idea to reset it to "off" when you're exiled

How long does it stay on for? can you flick it on, get a scan, flick it off in like 15 seconds? Or is there some x tick delay?

instant - by "get a scan" you mean "get a scan done on you", I assume?

Ofc. eg, have it off normally, get a JGP done on you during a 15 second window that you keep open whilst offline, turn off again.
