Re: Over-tired!

I cant believe people are still talking after i won this thread.

To recap :

"overtired" for all its stupidity as a word, is a word. As has been mentioned twice now, google it and watch the hits fly.

There is an email from vauxhall there saying "its overtired".

The reason they are saying "overtired" and shaking their heads is because the entire point of the advert is the kids are acting like adults and being patronising. Therefore when they shake theyre heads and say "overtired" they are lamenting the fact that the dad has dropped the china and the mum is snapping at him because theyve had a long day and now they are making stupid mistakes.

"Oh they're tired" simply doesnt make sense in the context of the advert. Imagine it was a baked beans advert and it ended with someone saying "Oh, i'm hungry" in that tone. If it was "Oh, theyre tired" that would suggest that the entire point of the advert is to build up to the fact that they are tired; which isnt the case.

Honestly, people
