Radio 2
I used to always listen to Radio 1, even though I hate nearly all the DJs on it except for some of the late-night ones, Chris Moyles, and Jo Whiley.
So today I switched over to Radio 2.
It's so much better.
I suggest you follow my example and switch to Radio 2 too.

Re: Radio 2
If the time is between 7:00am and about 6 or 7pm then I listen to Radio 1. Otherwise, I listen to Five Live. I can't seem to pick up Radio 2 or 4.

Re: Radio 2
Radio 2 is .
Although i have to admit that if Moyles and Mark and Lard were back on radio 1 afternoons, i'd probably go back to that, as Steve Wright is cheesier than stilton.
How was the holiday BTW

Yeah he does the early morning breakfast show, finishes at 0930h if I remember rightly.
Personally I like Jeremy, as his mass-debates are great to participate in during long drives.

Radio 2 is vastly superior to Radio 1 in almost every way.
I agree with switching between there and Radio Five Live when your reception gets crap though Five Live r0x0rs. <3 Alan Green.

Five Live is what all of my radios are tuned into. Every presenter bar Richard Bacon sounds exactly the same though. I've been listening for years and I still can't distinguish between them.

Radio 2 is overrated but it's not too bad - i.e. it's listenable if you have to.

6Music is the best BBC-radio by a long way, though it's not as readily available when away from PC/TV...

Re: Radio 2
I stick on Xfm quite a lot, then it's Virgin, Radio1, Radio 2, 6Music and Kerrang!
In that order.
EDIT: Oh there's 1Xtra, Radio 5 and TalkSport.

Re: Radio 2
PlanetRock is ****ing brilliant. Why? Because it plays tracks between 60-89 (ish). None of this modern fag rock that actually doesnt deserve to be part of the genre for being so soul destroyingly poor.
Radio 2 is ok, 4 i can cope with. Five Live is ok, XFM is decent, i can even bear Saga & Real - and suprisingly Virgin CAN be ok too.
You know what, i dont think ive ever made a post where ive said as many things as this that i like from one category.
I have to end it ofc by saying that anyone who listens to Kiss, Clyde 1, Radio 1, or any other of these absolute faggot RnB stations is probably not worthy of life

i only ever really listern to Radio 2 when i'm in the car with my mum, and then it's usually Steve Wright. the only time i really listern to Radio 2 is when Ask Elvis is on, that ****ing rocks! i used to listern to Power FM down here but then i realised how shit it was and how much better Virgin radio was, it makes my shift at work go alot quicker

Re: Radio 2
I used to get up to listen to Mark and Lard (thats how much i liked their show).
However as lokken mentioned M&L and Moyles are no longer on in the afternoon.
As such i dont listen to Radio 1 much at all (maybe the Rock show)

You can have whatever you want dearest, but I still think it's stupid to have some sort of data "where music became bad". You sound like a clichéd old man, or the reverse of really stupid kids who refuse to listen to something made before 199x.

I dont "refuse" to listen to anything. I listen to it, and every time i do, my soul withers a little bit. its not that its all terrible. Its just that the majority of it is. And im not talking about RnB and Hip Hop and Dance and all the genre's that dont count (face it, they dont), im talking about Rock. Its hit the skids. I find it hard to see how anyone can deny this when good bands from recent times like Blur and Oasis are no longer it / popular / people say they are passed it. At the same time, we get the fkn Rasmus, Evanescence, doing well. Instead of good British bands, we have shite american ones. Its embarrassing, and terrible. There are occassionally good songs. But not good bands.
