Most people thought 'what a crap sounding name!'

I thought 'Hey theres potential there for some good logos theres, like dancing I's or controllers turning into i's. That and free word of mouth publicity from the frothing at the mouth internet hordes making comparisons to bodily functions'.

I think Nintendo have made a damn fine decision on this one.

They're not, they just happen to have a whole load of unique titles which are entertaining in their own right - it's just the Gamecube was shit. Whereas Rare's output is fantastic currently, yes? Furthermore, the Gamecube has a very large number of very good exclusive titles. Eternal Darkness, Super Smash Brothers, Pikmin, Metroid Prime, Double Dash, Animal Crossing; would you like me to continue?

It is. They made more money from the console alone compared to the others - BY FAR.
