Still in the end it was Ely + WP vs Ecl + ToT no lil helpers and even complimenting you it kept the round interesting and worth playing.

There were helpers, RaH and FAnG were both napped to ET.

As for WP members jumping ship, you didnt have to take them in by the bucketload. And by no means all WP Officers tried to jump ship, I didnt, ACE didnt, and many other didnt either.

tbe fang nap held for half a week till Irvine thought he could dictate us how things go, rah was in our gals but not a force we controlled.

We didnt take any shipjumper in we could get ahold of, tho the sad fact remains ppl like adastra, donkey and others left, others tried and were turned down (like David).
If you read carefully you will find a "nearly" infront of the ALL stating there were a few loyal ones left to your cause.
Sadly enough it reached new depths of treason when officers stayed in your "ranks" and played the spy. Ask Rob or whoever about details i cba really.

r9 is long gone and my personal best / worst vote:

Best: Fury / Eclipse
Worst: Wolfpack (eventho it was just through the relays but since we have had relays from most alliances i can say Wp topped even Fang)

best : LDK r9.5 - I didnt even 'play' cos of rl; still heads and shoulders above any other alliance I've been in

most under-rated : adelante r8 - might jsut have been my bg but nearly all of us were top100 before they disbanded. was decent fun, very well organised attacks, everyone active and participating .. no big headed ****s - aye, prolly was just my bg then

most over-rated : hirr ... why do people like them? god only knows. wasted my most active days in PA in r6 in that alliance , to be eventually chucked out for spying, presumably cos I was too active and top100? *shrug*

Defense alliance...
We killed cluster 8 when they attacked one of our members. After that I resorted to roid-/ship-farming the remainings of B8S
It was my first real BC task... 100% success

But yes, it was overly large. 500 planets with UXF tag etc. But some people were actually quite good. In round 2 my squad was setup. In round 3 it was known as PotU and later on as Xanadu.

Best: Fang (especially R7) , R5 Virus- both had good comminuty & spirit.
Worst: Deus (2nd half of R6), Ely (R4)
Honourable mention: I worked with a lot of titans/xan ppl in R6 and they were awesome.

Firstly ppl can't say alliances they weren't in so ppl who weren't in fury can't say it. Second ppl join alliances for different reasons. If you only care about winning you join fury or whoever and sure, they are the best FOR YOU. If you care about other things like community, taking on bigger alliances or whatever then you will join alliances with those objectives and they would be better.

Deus is on my list as a bad alliance but that was probably because of what I wanted at that time. A different round with different goals and they might have been ideal and on the balance they did seem to achieve a great deal and in retrosepct I'm proud to have been there - just it wasn't easy at the time.

Best overall i think would have to be (the original) WolfPack rd 4 both for fun factor, team spirit and skill in the alliance. Not many alliances comes out of a losing war with the highest average score per planet in the game But my time in Legion comes a close 2nd.

Worst: well that has to be rd2 The Empire (only 3 alliances i was a member of) Not a lot of organisation, although we did have fun there (anyone remember those crazy bastards Fud and saorsa o_O )

My best Alliance would be : Vision
My worst Alliance: mmz definately Myth, some project started in r7 as a wing for the newly formed Tuba, but then Tuba didnt start r7 at all so we were taken in by TPS (a small but nice ally), at that moment Myth kinda died and someone brought me in contact with La Resistance , ie VisioN and i am still there :-)
The most Funny alliance: Should be my wing commander time in Black Sigma r4, i peed my pants like a zillion times back then. luckily still now my best PA buddy eveah from that time, Luv ya Libraius \o/

I'm not sure I can decide which alliance was the best ever.

Fury had the professionalism, the leadership and the dedication to make the best of good situations, and keep fighting when things went against them. Legion perhaps had more individually skilled players, but suffered from occasional splits and internal strife. Xanadu proved that a new alliance could rise to match Legion and Fury's standards, and were perhaps the only alliance to make a wing system work properly.

These are all unique achievements, and it's hard to pick a 'best' alliance from these.
