Think of it like forum posting. A little constructive criticism can be quite helpful. How will people know they're being shit if they're not told, etc. However, if people are flamed too much they tend to get worse and worse until they're banned.

Interesting point of view, What I am saying is that the status quo is not working. You only need to look at your town's schemes/council estates/ghettos and think... "Hmm this area has went down hill." I know it has in mines.
The thing is people get told they are doing wrong, but it all comes down to personal choice... You can choose to flame someone or you choose not to.
You can choose to stab some one or you can choose not to.
The person that doesn't have a choice is the victim. As the lassie with the stab wounds on her face didn't.
It comes to the point where people need to start to take control/responcibility for their own actions. Even at 12 years old
