Re: The Sensible World Of ......
I have a PS2 I just don't use it, or buy games for it.

We all see your point, but it's nowhere near that bad. Beslan wasn't that bad.

Re: The Sensible World Of ......
This is a great day, if only I had a PS2. I'd rather buy a Amiga off ebay and get SWOS for that though.

Good news, I hope it ages well. When I last played it (a few weeks ago on an emulator and using the keyboard rather than a joystick) it didn't seem as great as I remembered it [/heresy]

You know, for all of you that love Sensible Soccer.
I absolutely, completely, 110% ****ing hated it. Seriously, I detested the game, it was ****ing awful in my eyes, and I'll never understand what people saw in it.

It will have to be some game to get close to Pro Evo and the new FIFA is supposed to be pretty tasty too now they scrapped the old game and started from scratch but i can't really see myself buying any other footy game then Pro Evo on the PS2.

Re: The Sensible World Of ......
I recently downloaded SWOS. Worked well, but the updates didn't work. I really like the management aspect of the game, better than champ-man in my opinion. I never worked out why, but I really suck at actually playing though.
I wonder if they'll port it to the PC. It may be one of the best games ever, but I'm not buying a ps2 to play it.

Re: The Sensible World Of ......
I will crush any oponent in a game of Sensible Soccer or Speedball 2!
SWOS better then champ-man? ehm
I can imagine people prefer SWOS as a managergame, I even can imagine people prefer eating tuna from a can over a freshly prepared salmon with a nice sause and lovely vegetables, but better?"

Re: The Sensible World Of ......
Speedball 2 was also excellent. I could never work out why it cost you more to decrease your stamina than to increase it though.
I think I prefer SWOS because in the space of 20 minutes you can: get fired from the bristol rovers job, get offered a job in iceland, win the league 3 times, the national cup 3 times, buy wayne rooney and SWP, win the champions league by beating Real Madrid 4 - 0 at home, then annouce to your flatmates that because of this you are now officially god. You just can't get that kind of craziness in champ-man.
SWOS, Elite 2 and Monkey Island 2 are my all time favourite games.

Re: The Sensible World Of ......
Did anyone play Kevin Keegan's Football Management game on the SNES? Now THAT was a piece of crap. But I loved it anyway.
Anyway; SWOS is brilliant.

Re: The Sensible World Of ......
Sensible Software should have expanded on the "Sensible World of" concept a bit more. We could have had "Sensible World of Political Economy"!
