Greetings All, I am OrionIII. I am a Recruting / Public Relations Officer For Coven. I am here to write yet another recruitment thread. I am going to put out the facts about Coven then ill post some things people have said about coven on other threads. they wont be in quote tags, but they will be in qutations and ill insert the name of the forums account that said them.

Membership Requirements
Here is the list of requirements, im sure you will find them all very acceptable.

-Be active for a minimum of at least 10 hours a week
-Be able to have at least one fleet spot open for defense
-Be willing to commit your ships to defense, even though you may lose a few
-When you are online, you are on IRC in #coven and our private room
-Respect the HC's, Officers, members, and anyone else in the alliance or in our public room.
-Most important of all .... Have fun

Why join Coven you ask?
We dont ask you to be online 20 hours a day and join in militaristic attacks, ive heard a few alliances run things like that but i honestly dont know first hand, however, we like to joke around, we like to play PA, and most of all, Coven is alot like the bar cheers for any of you who remember the show, cos in Coven, Everybody knows your name. Short of the brand spankin new member whose name we need a few minutes to learn. But in general its a fun and relaxed environment to play PA in.


Coven's Rules
Our biggest rule is that you respect the people that work for you, by that I mean the HC's the BC's and the PR Reps, we are there to help you we are there to get you defended, etc. So don't harass us or give us a hard time. We are very democratic in Coven, if the members have issues with an HC or Officer it is dealt with in a respectful, courteous and democratic manner. Show your coven mates the respect they deserve and you shall be shown the same in return.


How to Apply
You can contact one of our HC's in our Public room #Coven or simply apply in game. However speaking to a member of the alliance and getting them to recommend you via the ingame alliance forums is not gonna hurt you. I myself have recommended several new members i met in IRC. By doing that, you will begin the process of joining the family.

Coven: A brief History
Coven was started a few rounds back, so we are fairly new, but we know our way around the universe. With little luck Coven progressed into round 10.5 with a mediocre size member base. Nothing really happend that was special, members came and left, officers changed, HC's changed. 422nd had merged into Coven at that time, hopefully to bring some spirit to the alliance. Round 11 started and Coven was on the ball. With dory in command round 11 was going to be awsome for Coven, yes it prooved to be harder than expected. Coven went through some trouble, losing members and officers left and right. Towards the end of the round things started to come together for Coven and things looked promising. Coven Merged with the fledgling return of the Alliance Fusi0n, which doubled Covens memberbase. Coven also merged with DarkAngels alliance, which helped provide an even stronger member base. The alliance progressed through the top20 and ended the round at spot 13 with over 90 members. This Round Coven lost alot of dead weight, and was living off its core of about 30 extremely active and gung ho members until it merged with PT. Round 12 for Coven was a good one. We ended in the top 20 and had around 65 Members. We Expect to have a starting member base of 40 highly dedicated and motivated members at the beginning of round 13.


Covens Beliefs
Remember, these are people who will be your best friend, if your willing to be theirs. We are one big family, if something goes wrong, it will be fixed dont worry. So if your willing to have your HC's remember your name, you want to kick some PA ass, and have fun all at the same time come into #coven and have a talk. Anyone is welcome. We are mostly laid back, and just a cool place to joke around and have fun, as with any alliance we have our serious moments but the Aim of Coven is to more or less prove that an alliance can survive without being facists, or dictators. We like to joke around in our channels and have even been known to occasioanlly have op wars as entertainment, we arent a bunch of stone faced PA freaks, most of us have lives outside of PA, i myself have a wife and child, but the bottom line is that we love the game and hanging out with each other. A few of us have even expanded out into a couple other online games, to further add to the fun we experience from hangin out and being a group.

Someone read the sticky yay!! Like The Reay Arfy said, awesome post. Only thing i'd be rather concerned about though is the suicide defence, that could seriously hurt you heh. But, good luck to you guys, you seem a great bunch of lads from what i've seen. Hopefully you'll get a lot of active members from this post as you've put in a lot of effort and have shown everyone who reads it that you're a serious alliance and not a mickey mouse one like most of them on here. Really, i wish you the best of luck for the rest of the round

i've heard a lot of good things about coven.. old/present galmates of mine and real world friends who are pa players who are with coven or used to be with coven and just hearing them talk about the alliance gives me this warm atmosphere around these people.. these past few weeks though *whew*!! lots of mass inc's from other alliances.. rumor has it it was alliance related with coven against a couple of 'em big boys- me personally i think the gal was just really unlucky - anyway, goodluck to u guys!

Hi can i join? i am new and i cant log into irc because of uni port blocks. But will be active for 2 weeks at easter i can visit you, my knowledge of the game is basic to none. but after summer ill have irc on 24/7 and im sure when i get into the game ill be just as good / active as everyone else.
