When I referred to Urwins being a top heavy alliance, it was because they have (had) 10 planets in the top 22 and 4 in the rest of the top 100. Having a planet that is attacked far more than the rest of his ally and thus defended more isn't nearly the same thing. And said planet has never had a pnap of any sort, contrary to what some on this forum claim to know.

Given that I presume this is aimed at me I was told this by jerome who was a CT officer in r24 and saw theodb's planet in a column of pnapped planets. Maybe this was some miracle of modern technology I dunno.

This is a consequence more of being ptargetted for over 2 weeks than any deliberate policy on our part.

I saw the bcalc, but some attackers recalled which kinda fked the battle for CT.
As it was, it was a close call and I do not understand why Smasher stayed / let his def stay. As BC I d told all to land also I think.

Breport, for those that haven't seen it.

I misinterpretted what I was told then, my mistake.

I was told by people in 11:7 that Smasher leaving his spectre at home was an unintended mistake. Without this, the losses (after salvage) would have been 7.5m CT and less than 1m xVx.

I was told by CT member(s) that the calc was based on the assumption that smasher would run his bombers and nothing to do with recalling fleets. They were obviously un- or misinformed. The idea that CT lost control over enough of their members to tip the battle by well over 4.5mil value didn't really cross my mind.

The actual calc was something like this which is hardly a definite land. If there had been more than like 4 ascendancy fleets on that wave I'd have recalled it heh.

That's with no recalls for attackers and smasher running his spectres.

I ve seen the actualy breport also, yes. And its nasty for CT.
But, if u check newsie u should see several attackers recalling late tick which tipped the battle. The calc I saw pre landing was without Smashers spectres being twatted also, and irrc the losses were around even with most of the losses being Smashers.
Cant blame bc for thinking it was fake def/they would recall.
But I cant really comment too much about it, as I had nothing to do with it. I just saw some calcs. I have no reason to believe them to not be correct or thought to be correct by ct.

Also, Elviz would have won anyway....
So I dont see why u brought this up m8.

Elviz commented before the 11:7 bashing that smasher and bigbad were beating him. This suggests that the huge attack on 11:7 is what tipped the round in his favour.

Without the spectre losses (~1.6m value after salvage) and the roid losses (~1m value over remainder of the round - more if feudal), Smasher's end score would have been pushing 13mil.


EDIT: basically, that battle is probably what won the round for elviz, and possibly lost the round for CT.

Then again.. before that battle there where some heavy attacks on elviz that took away his roid lead. I could say that if noone roided me i'd win the game.. but winner allways is the one on top at the end =/

that was not the calc I was given...

I was at work at the time though, and was just ingame mailed some calcs, so if u say thats how it was, I ll take ur word for it.

Smasher wasnt feud iirc.
Elviz would have won the round even if they had recalled that tick I think.

( all top planets got roided.. cept me. And I didnt win.. so lets just agree that I suck )

Gate is almost certainly correct about why that attack landed. It was a masterful flak move from Elviz, I admit to being almost as impressed as I was amused at the time. And Wishy, at the time Smasher was winning and would have won all things remaining equal. I don't think it ultimately made any difference to the ending alliance ranks however, although that certainly couldn't have been known at the time.

PS In that log where I say 5.1 lost for them I was actually just reading off the value lost from the first calc that elviz had pasted with the spectres still included.
