Adventure Games
I think that's what they're called.
You know the type I mean - you collect stuff, use it with other stuff, talk to people, get hints.
Examples: Monkey Island saga, Simon the Sorceror 1 & 2, Sam n Max, Day of the Tentacle, Touché.
Can anyone give me the names of some others? They're easily my favourite types of games, but I've exhausted my list. I have about 2 weeks between now and goign back to Jersey, so give me something to occupy me :P

Re: Adventure Games
Runaway is nice (soundtrack, play & file, story). Just like Curse of Monkey Island (Part 3), good old 2D perspective, but optimized for nice gaming and fun...

Re: Adventure Games
Bladerunner was pretty cool. I like the way they included some stuff from the book that wasn't in the movie. Plus the "alternate storyline" stuff (depending on who was replicants) was truly great (and I've not seen elsewhere, at least in the same fashion).

Re: Adventure Games
Maniac Mansion is regarded as one of the best of the genre, The Day of the Tentacle (mentioned in the first post) was its sequal.

Re: Adventure Games
Syberia 2 just came out. URU (myst 3) is out too, but I think that doesn't quite fit the genre...Myst series is more just a string of strange interactive puzzles than an adventure game.

Re: Adventure Games
If you like point-and-click adventure games, then you should try The Longest Journey. Made by the same Norwegian company that made Anarchy Online.
You can find more info about the game here:

Exile was Myst 3, Uru must be the fourth.
