engineering priorities

ok engineering priorities. What do you consider the best and why?

From my week in freebie land I think there are various uses for engineering but this is how it should work.

Early on: Biased towards cons/res/mining

later: Mining/Production/war

what is your opinions?

at the start its better to concentrate on speading up research rather than giving war a priority but certainly change it as soon as u start getting incoming/or go attacking

If you leave production at 11 ticks, it means you will have resources "idling" at your planet for quite a few ticks, giving ample oppurtunity to be cov-opped.
Until now, I've been using Mining/war/production, and switching to res/mining/war when starting a research (xan penalty ), but now all i'm researching is the roid techs, it will stay with min/war/prod i think...

Glad you pointed that out - what does a finance center optimise though on the gross or net roids production? Reason why I ask is it will impact on mining and the bleed from low tech lines relating to heavy cargo transfers....

I started Research/Mining/Constr and used to switch to Mining/Security/Constr or similar after starting a 48h research - it optimises income a little.

Atm I got: Mining/Construction/Production.

Mining - goes without saying
Construction to make FCs. 66 FCs and mining 1st means 48% bonus on ever roid.
Production is the most effective way to stop stealing. I make ships in 7 ticks so can start production almost every tick. and lose less resources. Also it's handy to be able to make something when you have incs.

It possibly depends on size but I never saw the point of war. Killing stuff has very little contribution to score and when you attack or defend 1 side usually outnumbers/outguns the other so there is rarely much of a fight.

I have mining on prioriy one. On priority 2 i have research when i need it(unless i screw up on the timing) and when i don't need research i have war on p2. On priority 3 i choose between war and production, but i only put production on prioritys when i have to much luck with attacks.

So usually it's mining/research/war.
