If your School or Work uses X-stop to block PA, here's how you get in!

Because X-Stop blocks sites, and doesn't scan for content like some of the other programs schools and works use, only the www.planetarion.com page has been laballed blocked. But since this addy is really only a relay to the portal of forum you can just go directly to those sites and it wont stop you.

So to goto to the portal just type in home.planetarion.com, and to go to the forums you can use pirate.planetarion.com or www.jolt.co.uk/paf since they don't block Jolt either. I am sure many other people found this out to when www.planetarion.com went down after 5S withdrew the servers, but I haven't seen a post about it yet. Good Luck PA addicts!

if they've blocked off mirc, going through cgi irc works as well
when i started college the comp room was filled with people gaming, near the end of my time there the ghey techie had pretty much blocked off everything that cud b considered fun. There's always ways around it tho

Maybe they look for contense. One of the reasons i stopped playing pa were because i couldn't continue with thoose late night with pa if i were going to study harder. And that i used money enough to buy 3 pc's a year on phone bills, were another reason. But i guess that school usually don't have to struggle with phone bills on telenors isdn line's so i think they just want they're graduates to get as good grades as possible.

My 6th form uses cyber patrol, its weird, www.planetarion.com and pirate.planetarion.com are banned, but home.planetarion.com isnt. Jolt is also banned. in fact everything fun is banned. I've complained to the techie, who was an arsehole to me, so I put a virus on the network and used an anonymizer for a while. til they banned that.

Like what ways?

a) You can use build in mIRC (or other client) firewall options
b) Use http-tunnel/sockcap to run mIRC trough your firewall (not great for stable IRC)
c) Use a webclient on a server outside your firewall (Look for CGI:IRC on a search engine). Maybe you can even install one yourself.
