St Johns Wort
I've started taking it today to see if it will pick me up, so to speak.
Has anyone tried it? Is it any good for depression?

Re: St Johns Wort
I've taken it a couple of times as a post-E thing. I didn't notice any real difference. It seemed to be a cheaper, slightly less effective version of 5-HTP.
But then I don't suffer from depression so I don't really know.

Re: St Johns Wort
You never mentioned you were depressed, or even feeling at all down.

Re: St Johns Wort
Well I'm not feeling down as such at the moment. But I don't think I'm as happy as I could be. It's difficult to explain (like, how do you describe a colour?) but it's kind of like a mist over my brain and everything seems a bit blurred. Sometimes the haze ascends and I feel better. More positive, creative, energetic etc and I'm looking for a way to make this my natural state of mind rather than breaks in the storm, so to speak.
It's not that I feel unhappy, more that I'm not happy. I'm more indifferent than anything. I'm sure my diet and lifestyle play a large part in this but I'm not really in the situation where I can make wholesale changes to these at the moment so I'm looking for something to help motivate me to sort out my current situation.

Re: St Johns Wort
Its good to help with depressino but cant be used by itself and be a catch-all cure; for your situation it sounds good but remember it only gets you half way and you have to paddle the rest.

Re: St Johns Wort
Tho i've never it, my friend who has SAD swears by it. (that lack of sunlight depression thing) He also has daylight bulbs in his house.
You do have to take it for at least a couple of weeks regular b4 u see any major difference.
It makes your skin photo sensitive - so dont sunbathe for long. (he only takes it in winter)
Its only good for mild depression.
I dunno what your depressed about All Systems Go, but if its regular around autumn/winter and goes away again, might u have the same problem ?

Thats a very good explanation, as i can relate to that.
Keep busy!! Eat well and find a job you really enjoy.
Isolationist habits (should you have them) only serve to fuel the fire.
