Make Sure r10 Preview is Random
Ok, i'm writing this in the hope that the creators will take heed to my suggestion of making the preview random.
I think its common sense, because the idea is to get people involved and into the community, and the game itself. The only way to intergrate people into the community is to have them placed with experienced and players who know about the game. From here they can teach them how to play, maybe invite them into their alliance, or indeed junior alliance, and who knows from there?
In a private uni then people will be secluded, bashed and unable too take a firm grasp of the game. They need interegration.

depends on the level of development and change which occurs bewteen 9 and 10. although i feel we can expect some big chances, i am guessing all the top players atm wont suddenly become noobs.. its still gonna be planetation..

random is the only way to go  . always a good way to make new friends and maybe even rediscover some old ones  and as for being n00bs i doubt any 1/2 decent player will have much trouble grasping and adapting to the changes the concept will be the same steal roids and keep em

IMO, R10 preview must be random - without a doubt.
I also feel that there would be some benefit in active measures to prevent alliances attempting to "win" in the preview
Admittedly, it may be an unpopular move, but the whole aim of the preview should be to get everyone to have a decent preview of the round
Coming from that, I would suggest that something like "random" donations/losses could be considered to enable ppl to play at different levels to test the different styles of game play... i.e. in the 2 weeks, dont make it "speed" pa, to get the round to last only 2 weeks, but have 4 donation periods where you can loose 9/10ths of your fleet or gain 9 times your fleet or something equally un popular with the large alliances
But without a doubt, the round should be random.
Perhaps incentives could be considered in round 10 for encouraging / teaching new players? (not sure what thou)

And i agree, that preview should b random, and also agree that the 'leet' players now definitively wont be n00bs in r10.
