I'm sure if you have been following
this thread on the Alliance Recruitment forum you will realise that a new Alliance Database is in the works, and has recently been completed for teh Round 9 portal.
This is a message to all the HC of alliances both great and small. Whereas the administration team of the Alliance Database will try to avoid disputes between more than oen person registering the same alliance we are nonetheless aware that there are likely to be problems with the initial registration process.
To this end it would probably be a good idea for any major alliances to prepare the following information ready for early posting when the ADB is launched:
It would be useful if you could find:
A URL to a logo for your alliance
Prepare a section of text about your alliance... You can include whatever you want in this section within the boundaries of decent language and avoiding ofc slander and libel. The intention is that you post a bit about your alliance's history and requirements for recruitment.
Simple Details: website URL, public NetGamers IRC channel etc, current diplomatic status.
This will all make a lot more sense when it all goes live, but until then please think about what information you would like to be presented about your alliance.
The ADB is intended to be both a resource for current alliances, both for purposes of keeping themselves up to date, and the smaller alliances to recruit using.
It is also open to any alliances which have disbanded or existed in previous rounds (eg, Legion, Xanadu, Blue Tuba... you get the idea) There is an option to specify whether or not an alliance still exists.
Thankyou for your patience and your cooperation. It is only through the submissions of various PA alliances that the ADB will become a worthwhile part of the PA situation.
