60 Circuits
I have not been very active here lately, as I am in a trial which has been going on for a few weeks.
It even distracted me from posting a brief commemoration of my 60th trip around the sun which I completed yesterday.
I find that I am succumbing to the general malaise of those who have traveled too often around the sun. I am starting to think about how much better everything was when I was younger.
Fruit tasted better before everything was grown to withstand the transportation to distant markets. Conveniently forgetting how many things are available at all times of the year rather than just seasonally as was the case when I was younger.
The streets were safer and kids didn't have to be watched every minute so that they wouldn't be molested, kidnapped, killed or a combination of the three.
Idealism was still fresh and choices seemed so much better defined.
On the other hand, there are so many more creature comforts (air conditioning being a prime example) and the entertainment possibilities have expanded exponentially.
Things change and then they change again. I continue to watch with interst as I plan out a few more trips around the sun.

Re: 60 Circuits
I can`t afford trips around the sun; even at my age. I need to save more*.
*Being telling that to myself for years :/

Regardless of what our fascist media says; they don't need watching now either. If anything, as far as I can tell atleast, the world is a lot safer now than before.
... and happy birthday; don't stop posting!

Maybe the upper crust did but in my socio-economic strata, I didn't live in a home with air conditioning until 1967.

Re: 60 Circuits
No. Not lazy. The Lady Joy is amassing a prodigious list of tasks for me upon my retirement. She feels it is her duty to see to it that I am not "bored" in retirement.

The wives of peers (earls & barons) and the wives of knights are 'Lady'
Earl, Lord, Knight, those are not 'jobs' from which one can retire!!
(and at a mere sixty indeed. I am genuinely horrified. At least 40 years of laziness!!!)
