Start up galaxy
The problem
After the shuffle there are still numerous new planets created. Most of these new planets get logged into once and after that they just stay on 0 roids and nothing happens. My original thinking was that these planets were created by people signing up multiple accounts untill they land one where they want. PAteam assured me that's not the case, they are new players who do not know what to do. Eitherway, it seems most of them cant figure it out, they quit after spending ~1tick online without having done anything. After that they presumably leave PA never to return again. This happens a lot, last round and this round as well, we have already have 4 planets like this in our galaxy at PT 60. Other people see the same tremendous amount of new, but lost, PA players in their galaxy.
The Suggestion
If a planet is created after shuffle place it in a seperate galaxy (similar to c200). It will stay in this "new player" galaxy for ~36 ticks. In this galaxy there are volunteers/PAteam members (mentors) present to guide the new players. After showing activity in these 36 ticks the new players have some sort of foundation and can be randomly "exiled" into the actual universe.
Advantages
- Good guidance for new players to make them stick to the game. Most galaxies in the actual universe dont spend the time. New players quit Im sure after getting exiled around and landing crap finally.
- Experienced players will get only active new planets into their galaxies. The new planets already have some knowledge and are probably better prepared to interact with the "hardcore" PA players.
- Just incase there currently happens to be abuse, that by some mysterious reason cannot be tracked by our MH team, we prevent it with this idea. If you make 83894 acc all of them will get in the same start up galaxy. You have to play all of them for 36 ticks with no guarantee of landing good. Its a buffer of some sort.
- Maybe a good place for alliances to recruit new members?
- No more, incredibly frustrating, galaxy fill up by 0 roid planets that cannot be exiled!
Disadvantages
- Requires effort....

There are more important things wrong with the Buddy system at the moment, mainly that you can turn a 'random galaxy' system into a private galaxy. Like we see round and round again with Cardinals galaxy (and others).

Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it.

I adress part of that problem no? Also more important things that are wrong, but for which we dont have a proposed solution, are hardly a reason to neglect this suggestion.

Interesting solution, but I don't see this happening. I think it would be easier to create some sort of automated tutorial, in which players are shown the basics of the game.

So he gave them the coy little wave and realized it probably would have been more effective if he hadn't been lying on their turkey.

Re: Start up galaxy
This has been suggested before, the mentor stuff has been suggested before, implemented and has been an epic failure.
I agree with the fact it would remove players who can't be bothered to go through the entire start up galaxy process, existing galaxies wouldn't have to exile as much (hopefully). However I honestly think that this is just the wrong way to approach the problem, you should not have to rely on mentors or any other people to explain the basics of the game to you.
The game needs a decent tutorial of some sort. Players quit after just 1 tick because they haven't got any clue what to do because the game is failing to explain how to play. Go try Travian and you'll see just what this game needs, something which guides the player through their first few hours/days with their planet.
