Re: Take the Global Warming Test
That test is overly simplistic, which is an amazingly strange position to take when you're dealing with something as chaotic as weather.

I'm not sure what level of rigor is appropriate for an 'internet test,' but I thought it was at least light years ahead of most of tripe that's written about global warming (admittedly a low bar).

You're damn right that's a low bar. Just because it's better than the rest of the shit doesn't magically raise it up.
When you're talking abour rigor, I think that having a simplistic Q&A that ignore the complicated answers in the field you're talking about [i]and then goes on to say "You answered it right! My god you're some kind of genius if only everyone else could see that!" without even paying lip service to the disagreement in the field is not a paragon of the form.

Re: Take the Global Warming Test
What a biased piece of toss that 'test' is. The author clearly has his own agenda, trying to sell his skewed view on Global Warming as reality. I especially like the bit where I answered in a mannar that man could be contributing to Global Warming and his answer text said something along the lines of 'You're wrong, can't you remember the answer to question 1!?' That shows a total lack of patience with people that don't 'agree' with him and shows that he knows he's fighting a losing battle because nobody is going to fully buy his BS.
The author is a obviously someone responsible for vast amounts of pollution, someone who is going to be stung by emissions limits and things like the Kyoto protocol. He's going to lose money and rather than let that happen lets just spout lies to rally people against the idea that man has an large part to play in global warming. Our survey says... US factory owner / oil executive.
