You will be able to research more stuff.
Now you can only mine(harvest) 200 roids max, then till the max.
Now you can research till unit(not unit) then until the last type of scan.
Same for rest of the tech tree.

Is it worth it? Yes if you are active and want to play for real. With a free account, it's more pure fun, you will stop growing soon...

This is an intermediate round. R11 will start 18th of may(Someone correct me if it's different). A normal round coverts most of the time 3 months. Dunno how much that is in ticks. Then new development will be tested in an open beta, sign ups start again and a new round kicks off. Sometimes a round end quicker because of the politics stagnate.

If you are new I would use this round to get to know some alliances and trying to say hi to ppl on IRC and feel welcome in the community. More questions, feel free to ask
