Suggestion for the MOTD
My suggestion: When there are links in the MOTD, set them so that they open in a new window. This should be simple enough, right?
Heck, my level of computer coding skill is 'basic HTML', and I could code for this:
<a href="link URL" target="blank">linkname</a>

Yep, its really buggin when you check the link and forget to go back so you close the window and end up having to open up planetarion again...

No. No. No.
Basic rule of web designing - its my browser, and if I want it open in a new window then I'll do it myself. What about people that don't want this?
Hint: Get firefox and you can middle click to open links in a new tab.

Maybe that's the basic rule for webdesigners, but for normal people that can be very irritating.
Opening stuff in a new window can be very usefull, especially for the motd, so pa is always opened.

Re: Suggestion for the MOTD
There was a previous discussion on this. The consensus was that if you wanted to open it in a new window you could. If you forced it to open in a new window, firefox and opera users got irritated as they couldn't open it in a new tab.

Re: Suggestion for the MOTD
oh. haven't used firefox or opera much, so I wasn't thinking about that.
and yrep, I know that you can rightclick and get a 'open in new window' option. thing is, it's so easy to forget to do that...

Re: Suggestion for the MOTD
Im of the opinion that new windows should rarely be used - the back button is there for a reason.
A problem arises when you browse the forum subsequently, but if you just read the one page then went back to PA, theres no reason for a new window.
