Well first the very good idea. Instead of messign with travel times why not make it so you can only be attacked once ever 72 hours or so? obviosuly would have to decide on time but would mean people wouldbn't be bashed every day. would need to work out fine detail but i reakon that would be better.

And the rant...

Brilliant idea! Yes! And I already have an enhancement to this idea: Why not let the planet-owner decide the tick when he can get attacked. So that I can make sure not to be attacked when sleeping or at work or getting laid or taking a pee...

How about: you go into protection mode for a while if you loose more than a certain amount of score/roids.

Well i personally think the game gets pointless when you are roided every single day.

Problem is if you got attacked by multiple people with diferent etas. Not sure how that could be done. But it would be nice to not be attacked daily or even more often. Also PLEASE can cathaar be made into less of a target. I wish id never been cathaar cos no matter how low my ratio i still get more incs.

Caths are not a good target. Def trading is very effective for caths in an active gal. Furthermore you can allways switch to a pure Tara/Guardian fleet (with a touch of Avengers, like 1%). That would make you pretty hard to roid. Though attacks might fail more often too.

considering i mostly get roided by people 4 times my size it tends to not matter what i have.

I already suggested something simular like this a week ago or so. I think my suggestions was:
If you lose 1/3 or more of your planet score in a tick all incoming fleets are automatically recalled and you go in protection for 24 hours.

To get back to the suggestion of the original thread.
I would not suggest a pause in attacks unless you have actually lost anything. A pause could then be given to recover. So if you defend succesfully you can be attacked again.

Combined with the suggestion above which protects a bit against severe score loss from bashing I would suggest the following:
You get a universe NAP in ticks for the % of roids you lose. Other planets could not launch on you during this NAP but fleets already launched will remain on target. So if you lose 15% roids you get 15 hours of no attacks on your planet. If you lose 15 % more next tick your NAP with the universe is extended by 15 more ticks. The NAP is lost though if you launch an attackfleet to any planet in universe. So you can't attack people from under the protection of the universe NAP.

I dont think that would be a good idea. It would not prevent people getting bashed but it would make targets even harder to find and help stagnate the game even further.

Plus it isnt very realistic.

I think it would prevent a bashing as a kill fleet might fore a full recall of all fleets including your roiding fleet. And as far as finding targets. People that have been severly roided are generally not viable targets. In this round they were because all targets that weren't severly roided were allied. But that is something the alliance can influence themselves.

And why would it not be realistic ? It seems easy to implement compared to other ideas I heard.

mabey alliances could agree not to form powerblocks.

If the universe was made up of single alliances fighting it would be alot more fun.

You'd still have battlegroups that would be cross alliance.

Yes and No....
Caths are great targets, because they don't follow your strategy, but if they wanted armor and firepower they should've gone terran anyway....

Cath = useless for the smaller player, but would be good if played by players in top 50-galaxies....

That is why the creators are incorporating alliances into R10, however I fear that not much will change :\

Why not always replace the roids u've lost at once..so the big ppl can continue to grow and nobody will loose anything..
Pretty much sounds like a pussy game than..but might be fun, don't you think so?

Sry i'm just tired of the usual "I get roided by ppl 4 times my size, each day" complain. FS i was roided by ppl much bigger than me 3 rounds..it's part of the game that the winner rapes the loser, nothing new here really.
