Re: [Football] Copa America prediction league
keeping a random element whilst moving ppl according to the original pools...
one from [ Blastoderm / Lupin / roadrunner ] will move from A to B
one from [ Koen / MrL_JaKiri / Dace ] will move from C to B
any objections? ie. if you're on this shortlist and you want to stay where you are, you can

Nope. I'm hoping Koen leaves Group C, he was in my group last time and we didn't stand a chance.

Re: [Football] Copa America prediction league
BTW 1-X would it possible for you to put a "Total Score" for each group at the bottom of each group.
That way we would really know which group was the hardest (ie it would have the most points).

Re: [Football] Copa America prediction league
easy to do, not sure how useful it is
the "hardest" groups will have 3 people going through to the next round, while the weakest will only have 2 (because the two highest-scoring 3rd place players qualify)

It's useful 'cause people can brag about how they "were in the toughest group" and "everyone else had it easy" :)

I find them perfectly acceptable while working in my favour Though it will be a lot more embarassing if I fail to qualify from such a small group.

current rule is that two 3rd place people only go through, so a high scoring 4th would be out... this matches the rules the actual tournament uses in deciding the quarter finalists
it's fair because 2 will go through from the weakest group, while 3 qualify from the others. If we just have highest scores going through, there would be no point having groups at all

There would - for the top 2 regardless.
I just thought it might be like athletics - where its like the 2 fastest losers.
It's not like this for the actual thing because obviously they can take points off each other so they can't all end up on maximum, we can.
I'm not complaining at all - merely questioning before it got to that stage.
