[meet] GD mini-meet
I'm calling it a mini-meet because we don't have very much time.
But tonight I found the perfect venue. Somewhere utterly utterly fitting. Somewhere where dante is happy. Somewhere where I am happy. Somewhere were ste and old baldy (tomkat) can oggle women who might actually sleep with them.
So it is all on!!
SATURDAY 29TH JULY CENTRAL LONDON
You might want to arrange accomodation, but there is a big bright shiny new travel lodge in WC1 that I imagine must be cheap.

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
So what will you do as I will actually be at central on that day. Restaraunt followed by pub or just pub or clubbing or both?

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
i'll do my best but it is short notice and I'm planning on going to a gig the night before...
Whereabouts in central London is the place? Near the hotel? I may need to find somewhere to park (so I don't do a skiddy and get clamped).
Is there a dress code again?

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
3 people from my work are leaving at the end of this month.
1 of them is in my team.
1 of them used to be in my team (and is a girl and pretty and young so ...).
1 of them is a good (work) mate.
As such i have to attend their leaving night out. Their leaving night out is Saturday 29th July. Ohhhh what it is to be popular.

The dress code will be more lax.
There is parking but you must co-ordinate with me in advance.
you'll be fine

just a heads up: the generator hostel near russell square is cheap, clean, breakfast is provided and there;s an alright bar.
edit: and if anyone wants to go in for a private room, PM me. it's about 15 quid a night.

WC1 is basically "The British Museum/Oxford St etc" so as central as you can get (not sure if that was what you were asking but I'm sure other people didn't know what Yahwe meant).
As long as I have no treatment around then (small chance I might - don't know yet) then I'll be there with bells on.
I live an unfortunate distance from London (in Woking) - near enough to be close, but not near enough for there to be decent transport back in the wee hours of the morning. I don't mind paying for a hostel type thing to fill up the numbers if required, but I'll probably just stay with friends or something.

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
I'm in central London from thursday until Monday at Marxism 2006 so I might attend if it's possible.
How big is central London?

You can walk from one side to the other in about an hour.
Or just get a tube which takes 5-10 mins max.

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
If any of you are parking (going by car) then park in Holborn or in Hayes Market - 5-10 mins walk away and it's free.

The last time I stopped at a private room in a hostel-type thingy in London, I passed up a drunken offer of cock (What was I thinking) and I saw Enby in the nud.
(Stephen said "I hope you have to see Enby nude", before the meet, and I ****ing did end up seeing it. With my eyes.)
In conclusion, Enby is teh sex. Especially when he's angry at being locked out of the hotel.
Oh, and yeah, private rooms are shite.

I am thinking about it. But there's actually only one person I want to see (hello Daddy) and I'm not sure if I'll cope with the rest of you.

Good train knowledge
But yeah - that's my point. If i decide I want to go home after 1am, I have to wait around for 4 hours for the next train

It took six months of arguing to get me to go america and I only booked my flights two weeks beforehand on the very last day possible. This time though it only took five days of arguing to get me to go to thailand so I'm getting more pro-active

Re: [meet] GD mini-meet
I would like to announce that the GD meet has been kindly sponsored by dda thanks to an incredibly generous donation.
It is an act of un-rivaled kindness and I am incredibly touched.
It only reinforces the message that all are welcome. Thanks to his un-prompted generosity those of us who can come shall join with me in a toast " to absent friends".
