Downtimes influencing length of the rounds
Since the length of a round can greatly influence its outcome (due to the amount of possible fleet usage, resources mined and various other things), I suggest to move the end date of a round into the future for the same amount of time the game is / was down.
A little example: This round we had at least 4 days of downtime by now, so the round should no longer end on the originally set date, but 4 days later.

Re: Downtimes influencing length of the rounds
There is also the fact we have paid for a 10 week round (or whatever length its supposed to be) and wouldn't be getting it if it finished on the original date.

Its one of the best rounds there has been for a while!
On a side note, for every days downtime we have had, why not double that and take it away from end of round current date, ending this round sooner so i can get back on track with studies, social life, REAL life!

Re: Downtimes influencing length of the rounds
I signed up to the round with its initial end date. I've booked to go away the day after so any round lengthening would screw me over.
My vote is with initial round length. 9 and a half weeks is plenty long anyway. :|

Agreed. I paid for 10 weeks, I should get 10 weeks.

Re: Downtimes influencing length of the rounds
I have a holiday booked for when Round was original scheduled to end, therefore i cant play afterwards, so what i suggest would be an extra long "havoc" period for all these people complaining about it not being 10weeks.

Re: Downtimes influencing length of the rounds
imo its not needed to add the missed days and make the round longer than it was stated in the beginning.. this might b reasonable to do when there was like a week or something missing but atm its not needed imo.. thats ofc just my opinion

Re: Downtimes influencing length of the rounds
well, we both signed up for a 10week round, and for it to end on a certain date.
At no point did I sign up for a round to be XXX amount of ticks, only for it to last 10weeks. Which it still will be doing, even if some downtime.

Technically it did not last 10 weeks then. Downtimes cause a conflict between a duration X and an end date Y.
However, I can perfectly understand that you are tired of this round already, Wishy ;-)

Re: Downtimes influencing length of the rounds
I got exams in May, so yes - I rather not have it last 1 more week.
And why does it cause a conflict?
Did we speficially agree somewhere that the 10week period was sposed to be one without breaks? ( downtime )
what about the 1min30seconds each tick where we cant do anything!!!!!!!

Re: Downtimes influencing length of the rounds
Most people get bored in the latter part of the round because all we do is launch then recall/land on a target.
I say stretch out the research so it takes longer in the round to complete.
