Riddle me this part 2
Ok we got the link to the new stage
http://www.languid.net/nr/abacus/index.htm
Stuck on 2.3
heres the riddle
' New recruits in the war often
cut themselves upon open blades or
cutlasses, the year I fought evades my memory
-no I remember now the year was
1701 what a year for blood shed and tears'.
every one back to #riddle so we can solve all this

i'm still convinced the ad at the top is a clue
"**** Cool site, absolutely brilliant, very simple idea of post it notes but you can have whatever you want for the headings, makes a really cool gift, though I think it is meant to be aimed toward business it is much better to use as a funny present. Check it out if your stuck for ideas. ****"
the fact it says 'check this out if your stuck for ideas', it has *'s in it like the puzzle and also just noticed "your" should be "you're"
tho having said all of that i've got no where so far

Think about the way they use "OR"
It may be the information in the first line, logically OR'd with the information on the bottom row.
That's all I can come up with whilest thinking digitally.

Read the first letters of each line down, and the entire number from the last line. It'll say NCC-1701, which in the series Star Trek is the designation number of all the Enterprise ships (A through E).

if 2.4 is the one i think it is just find a pattern and do literally what it tells you to

I'm unsure whether the letters are actually a cryptoquip, I'm currently playing with just a scambled phrase.
Currently playing around with http://dictionary.langenberg.com/

yep, look for a pattern in there that spells out a message
do what the message tells you to
(the pattern is just about the most obvious one, if you're really stuck open excel and type out the two rows of letters side by side, you should be able to see it then)
