Can you help?
Basically I'm looking for a song that I heard way back in 1997/98/even 99 and I don't know the name of the band/song and I don't even know one line of the lyric (apparently the lyrics rhyme).

HOWEVER!

I can vaguely remember the video. A band playing in a stage of some sort (similar to Outkast's Hey Ya! video but in pink), I think it was a 4 or 5 piece band, they had a female playing that thing that the Oasis front man (Liam or Noel) normally holds when singing and in one part of that video, they had a choreographed scene of this bunch of people dancing around with the ambulance/hospital beds.

It's a rock band of some sort.


Any ideas what's the name of the band or song?

Ash have a female vocalist/guitar player, and have been making records since around that time. Might be worth a bit of investigation.
Any more info on the style of the song? I'd class Ash as "hardish indie" in that they're not whiney/moaney and more rocky (in the way the louder Oasis tracks are) than a lot of current indie groups.

i said this to a mate and he replied with 'if you know the lyrics then just type them into google'

so i explained that its for when you dont know the lyrics but do know the rhythmn and beat or roughly what the lyrics are but not quite..

The thing is, the female member of the band does not play guitar/bass/vocal etc., just that noisy small percussion thingy that Liam (or is it Noel) hold in some songs.

Type of music? Well they could be classed as indie leaning towards the Smashing Pumpkins type.

Just explain to him that not all songs have lyrics, or you might not be able to understand what the singer is singing etc.
