I renounce my rep.
Ok really, this takes the biscuit a bit. I think it is unfair that I can attain maximal green blobbage in just 200 posts.

I pointed this out ages ago, which led to an onslaught of neg rep which took me down a few pegs, but just as easily, my rep has returned.

What do you make of this? is this conclusive proof that the rep system is crap?

P.S. Neg rep me if you like, It will just return in a few days...maybe.... muahahaha.

It would only be unfair if it actually mattered. As in, if the amount of blobs you had corresponded to the amount of your relatives/friends which would be allowed to enter the bunker when the meteor hits or something. That might be an incentive to conform to the group think a little.

It's effectively impossible to bring down reputation, unless about 30 different users all neg rep you for the same post.

And yes, this is another reason why the rep system is shit.

Oh, you're right.

Sorry arachnidman - you do have max.

The thing is, as we all have such high "repping" power to each other, it doesn't take long for a newcomer to rise up. I have about 100 I think. So if 100 people all repped him over the course of a month (3 a day) then he'd get to 10k quickly.

I'm all for the "resetting rep after 3 months" thing.
