Re: [Football] Scan result
apparently, according to some sources, he had a "broad grin on his face".
I'm surprised there wasn't a webcam streaming footage of him leaving the clinic and aimed at the plane he's getting on tbh

Heard he wasn't going.
Also heard that FA can't get insurance for him.

Heard where?
I'm not surprised he hasn't got much in the way of insurance, tbh.

apparently he's going - he's on the plane!
I wonder how it's going though. I hope it's going better than planned, so if he does take part they don't rush him in, but ...
Edit: Phang! beat me by a minute

Re: [Football] Scan result
He's going, he always was.
The only question is whether he's fit enough to play or if he's 'david beckham'-style fit enough to play a la 2002.
He looked good in the training footage from yesterday though.

Hope he doesnt get rushed back into playing, if we have a good early stage he probably wont play till hes completely ready but if things go bad he could get rushed into playing too soon

Re: [Football] Scan result
I can see him getting pressed on during the sweden game if everythings not going to plan... and with Ibrahimovic playing like he is at the moment for Juve we could be in a spot of doo doo!

it all depends on the match against Paraguay. a draw/loss against them (which is possible) will put an immense pressure on the team. i can see things go terribly wrong for England in that case.

Re: [Football] Scan result
He tackled John Terry so looks ok to me, although it would have been amusing if he'd have gone down in agony, clutching his foot and when people came over all worried, just stand up with a large grin on his face.
Although United say he won't be back by the group stages, I bet he comes on as a sub against Sweden.

Re: [Football] Scan result
btw completely against the hype i think the brazil all out toga attacking super star 4-2-2-2 formation will fail, phenomenally strong in the last third of the pitch etc but i just don't think the link between the defence and the forwards/auxilarly forward midfield is strong enough, an opposition team with a tight and overloaded midfield could strangle them imho.
yes i know thats near blasphemy and it'll all blow in my face when brazil consistently win 4-0 but there you go.

Re: [Football] Scan result
Good news about the Roon, Sven is claiming he is injury free and it's just a matter of getting match fitness back.
Unlike poor old Cisse. Link not for the squeamish.

I don't want Brazil to win. Ronaldinho came out and said they should get preferential treatment from the refs because they're brazil.

What he said was that teams' best chance is to kick the shit out of them and he wants refs to be onto this. Not quite what you imply above.

Actually - the Brazilian defence does seem quite poor.
Although we've said that every world cup
Cafu and Roberto Carlos are way past their prime.

Re: [Football] Scan result
I get my scan result next Wednesday!
I find out if the treatment will be finished in 2 weeks, or if it'll take another 3 months!
I expect it'll be another 3 months but I can hope

I don't.
But I was hoping for a comedy gif that showed him falling off the stretcher

Just about everyone of those is fantastic.
Check the Ronaldinho boots one, did he really hit the crossbar that many times in a row?

If it's the one I think you're talking about, there's a backboard behind the crossbar.
