How much is it liable to cost me
To outfit myself in a 70's style?
I've got a fancy dress new years thing coming up and i think i might "enter into the spirit" of it.
I'd want an afro wig too.
If anyone has done this before and can point me in the right direction of places to go / things to buy i'd appreciate it.

I can send you a "lovely"* tank top if you want. [/genuine offer]
You'll also need medalions (possibly)
* truley horrible, but very 70s and very good

Bad news, white people can't grow proper afros.
EDIT: I just realised you wanted an afro wig.

If you're intending to buy the outfit, then surely charity shops would be the cheapest option.

Re: How much is it liable to cost me
you can either go to a fancy dress store - if they have anything it will cost about £10-40 depending on store and costume.
alternatively - go to topman or similar store, and buy flared jeans and a colourful top - this could cost you anywhere between £20-60 usually
Afro get from fancy dress - should'nt cost you more than a 5'er - ten at most

I have neither left now so it's just a financial question.

Re: How much is it liable to cost me
Heh, I am in need of this as well, got a 70's themed party at new year and I really don't want to buy clothes for just that one occassion. I'm thinking of hiring a white pimp suit, getting a rather large pair of sunglasses and some fake plastic rings. I just need a shop in my area that's hiring this kind of stuff.

Re: How much is it liable to cost me
You can buy complete pimp outfits in quality 100% polyester in the tat shop in Coral Springs mall.
They run about $30, including foam fedora.
