Not rating a team how good they are, but complimenting them on their performance.
If England reach the semi's, well done, you are one of the best 4 teams in europe. Although beating Switzerland, Croatia, and Greece isnt exactly the hardest route, thats not Englands fault, you can only beat whos put in front of you.
However, youve pulled me up wrongly. My point was more cynical, about the way the media go "omg england have no chance ever theyre up against it its england vs the world everyone has written us off omg we're the last chance hero underdogs" - Then when they win a game or two that they ought to win - "BRAVE ENGLAND PROVE EVERYBODY WRONG"

Re: [FOOTBALL]England v Switzerland
That's partially because EVERY SINGLE ENGLISH TEAM EVER can't win easily.
It's either a heroic win against the odds, or below par showing which sees us drop off the pace and lose to an underdog/when we should have won.

It took Sven long enough to get round to dropping Heskey to the bench so i woudlnt be surprised if Owen plays for the rest of this tournament and probably the World Cup qualifiers despite playing shit .

He's probably the best central defender Switzerland currently has. Müller is rather fast and has a good positioning play. He's not the one too lead a defense, though. The goals we got we definitely the errors of Haas and the lazyness/slowness of M.Yakin, I doubt Müller is in any way to blame.
Get him if you can, as far as I know he isn't very expensive as his contract is running out.

Re: [FOOTBALL]England v Switzerland
Kinda funny we've yet to have a thread on the England fans embarrassing their country, and the portuguese police embarrassing theirs.

The ability not to **** up a penalty
Defoe would have put it away easily

No way. The ground was the only reason he skyed it. Hardly his fault.

It wouldn't have happened if he didn't use his free kick technique, which, GUESS WHAT, is bad for penalties.
