I personally couldn't stand Hogfather from what I recall, although Susan was an awesome character. It'll be interesting.

Re: [film] could be good... could die on its ass
not quite the big screen as it's going to be a made-for-tv film
David Jason as Albert and Ian Richardson as the voice of Death both seem like good choices. Casting of Mister Teatime isn't mentioned, also Death's granddaughter (edit:Susan, thx Furball) has a big role iirc so a lot could depend on who plays them.
I hope it will be good; being better than those cartoon versions they did won't be hard.

i think that hogfather was in his sort of about 10 ooks decline, before he started getting good again, the facts that they call albert an elf and havent got christopher lee doing deaths voice dont bode well though

Re: [film] could be good... could die on its ass
I was going to say "Oh great, yet another book made into a movie."
But then I read "he two-part, four-hour film, which will be shown on Sky One at Christmas"
A tv adaption isn't exactly the 'big screen' even if it does cost a lot of money.
*sigh* beaten to the punch.

Much as I want this to be good, my gut feeling is that it won't be.
I'll watch it anyway, just to see.
