Newcastle - MOTD.
Great - lets have our third round FA cup game at Southampton.
And the last time we won there was mid 70's?
Superb draw.

Re: Newcastle - MOTD.
If you drop into a state of sheer ecstacy for winning an FA Cup 3rd round tie against a team who played badly, I don't know what a win in the league would do for you*.
*and neither do you on current form

A bad patch since the start of the season?
Losing to Partizan at Sid James's was fun though.

Yes, a bad patch since the start of the season. There is no written duration for patches.
We'll get there. Next season...

That's what you lot said last season.
At least Kieron Dyer's scored again, first time in a year eh?

Re: Newcastle - MOTD.
First time since febuary I believe.
Let's be fair, other than Shearer, the whole of our strike force are shite or injured - many both.
Defence is shakey at best and midfield couldn't kick a ball into the river from the quayside.
But we're still 0-3 up.

Pity the team cost so much then. Tell me what the most expensive teenager in England (at the time) is doing at the moment

Re: Newcastle - MOTD.
Very little but perhaps this win will boost confidence.
Admittedly the win against Tottenham should have given confidence but, they've got to pick their league game up at some point.

Re: Newcastle - MOTD.
Kevin Kyle is a great footballer for someone who thinks he's a kickboxer.
