Following the confirmed deaths of 1,036 americans after the disaster that was Hurricane Katrina, the latest hurricane has now formed up to category 5 (though may be dropped to 4 shortly, reports vary) and is heading , well, straight for the heart of Bush country. (predicted towns include Corpus Christi and Galveston, Texas, and theres a real possibilty of a hit in Houston).

If youre Muslim , when you manage to stop laughing, you must be thinking "Hang on, This guy stayed in power because those in the bible belt voted for his religious leanings, and **** me, their god has forsaken them and given them the single worst hurricanes to hit their country in 200 years".

You gotta ask, will he bring the troops home if this thing scores a direct hit on a major city? I mean, the cost of rebuilding new orleans is huge, but imagine the cost of rebuilding Houston. And i have serious doubts as to whether he can find the cash needed to do that and fund an overseas war. And you can bet your ass that if the devastation to Texas is on a remotely similar scale, he cannot be seen to do anything except act immediately and decisively on this one. Else his Presidency, and his parties chances at the next election, will be deader than disco!
