After watching the trailer: I thought Anaconda's were constricting snakes, and that they generally don't bite?

Yes, because that didn't have plotholes, cheap backgrounds and the amazing "slow explosion" that you can run away from, passes by open doors and doesn't affect palm trees

Re: why do movie makers insist on subjecting us to shit sequels?
Really tho....aside from Anaconda & many others, there have been far too many awesome films that have shitty sequels.
Do they do it just to get money cuz they know ppl will go see them? Or do they honestly think the sequels are ace?

Re: why do movie makers insist on subjecting us to shit sequels?
Looking at the flash web site for Anacondas (which is, surprisingly, accessible), it looks like they have gone for the standard "8 character mix", including such irrationally segregated personalities as:
- The incessantly wise-cracking tech guru, who just happens to be young and black
- The hardy captain of a mighty vessel - "the only one who will brave the jungle in the rainy season", and who no doubt has a huge cock,
- The scientist who is determined to find a flower he has never seen before on the basis that he reckons it will guarantee him a place in the history books. Yeah, ok.
- The scientist's pal, whose dark secret is that the company sent him to protect their investment.
- The "eager" research assistant who is supposed to be enraptured by the prospect of prolonging human life, but is actually just there to be tits and arse for the lads.
- The local "expert" who leads everyone into the deepest darkest jungle yet somehow looks surprised when his survival skills are required.
- The over-qualified handsome young doctor who is there for no apparent reason other than the fact that everyone else is too busy dying to look at the aforementioned tits and arse.
- The extra pair of company hands who has to go along because the script didn't originally include enough females to attract the widest male demographic.
In other words it is a re-make of "Congo" and will be equally shit, except with marginally more interesting monsters.
And I bet when the DVD crawls out there will be a bit where the Director or some such person says they wanted to make a film "about the people" and the way they interacted under stress. Pfffft.
