Re: Round 35 Predictions
- Asc as bored of winning as they say they are, have been beaten in r34, should be motivation enough to fight back this round... not sure of the quality of their HC though, they were outplayed last round and are already looking for excuses.
- App should get the benefit of winning r34 by having enough applicants to fill their tag, if they can win 2 in a row they will become the dominant force.
- Euph has shown it can be a contender and should attract those who want to challenge the big 2. If they grow their member base and retain the quality they'll be in the fight.
- ND can do it, they'd have the support of smaller alliances if they come in a good position.

This is an exaggeration. We kicked 12 people who sucked, and 5 left (2 of whom barely played). I think we have more members now than we had at the start of last round.

So I would say euph/app as #1. Euph's win will depend on smart politics, which is the big question mark I see. Getting the biggest block doesnt always mean winning. Euph's current member list looks pretty good, though. So both of those alliances have enough quality, they just need some filler members to fill up the tag, and both alliances are sitting pretty.
|
There's the excuse, and the fact that you lost last round does meen that you were outplayed. You could even say outplayed as in outroided, or outplayed since you gave up on winning many weeks before the round ended and didn't even give a shot at it.

Dude if you think apprime will fill the tag just to win id love to try what you are smoking. I bet we could create Apprime the Support Tag and have 150 members easy though so its an appealing idea!

One person saying something doesn't mean that's Asc's stance, several people have already said it that we always go for the win.
So who outplayed us, the block, Apprime, someone else?

App finished #1, I don't see much room for disagreement here... oh, you let them win coz you were bored of winning so many times, that's my error ???

Buly we as app did no such thing as outplay asc we worked together for half of the rnd so to say we outplayed them when they took most of the incoming once we had joined together is just pathetic so SHHHHHH!!

HC?
That said, anyone denying we were outplayed last round is an idiot. If anything, we played ourselves into a corner that pretty much guaranteed we wouldn't win.

Re: Round 35 Predictions
euph does have alot of good players outside of asc/app but, that doesn't take them to the same level. There is to much depth in asc/app. For an alliance of 1 round (euph) they can't possibly know each other well enough yet to play like them. I'm not saying they can't win or they will be shit. I'm just pointing out that asc wasn't built in a round. Apprime winning it's first round was outstanding, however they did have alot of "groups" they knew each other well enough to come together. Euph will need prefect leadership and all members to put selfish planet ranks aside inorder to play like asc/app. I'm not sure that can be done in there second round if asc/app play.
They also need a JBG/Cardi in alliance to stand up and learn to dc at a level well beyond normal alliance dc's. Without leadership that can push "pa data" as quickly as those two euph can't beat asc/app head on without other alliance help.

i agree that we didnt have as many incs as app/asc ofc, as they were hit by 7 alliances or sth. but i also wouldnt say we had few amounts of incs during round..

Just wish drunk new years eve, can't go wrong with that.
And problem hitting euphoria fullscale last round was that they where spread around in universe, with 2-3 planets in a gal. So planet targeting them was not easy, cause of the allied they had ingal. BUt i'm sure some of them got their share of incs

Re: Round 35 Predictions
neroon i didn't mean euph dc's weren't any good. When an alliance gets mass incoming it works alot better to have 1 good dc able to handle things and everyone else sort things to help them. 1 dc doesn't step on his own feet if he knows what he's doing. 3 dc's do even when split into 3 different classes to dc. that's all i meant. 1 great dc > *

As far as I know, Ascendancy hasn't made any pre-round agreements. Pretty sure we never had any in the past either. So yeah, I'm going with "what you've heard is bullshit".

Yes, I personally received comfortably packed brown envelopes from prominent members of both app and asc. I've heard however that the envelopes given to vsn were significantly smaller.
The envelope from apprime contained all large denomination notes. Upon further inspection they turned out to be all fake. Interpol are now looking for the liths who made them.
The asc notes were real. Thanks guys!

Re: Round 35 Predictions
Considering app now has jbg (who wasn't asc last round) but also now reese/eksero/hude/theam/benneh(all in #asc last round), two of which have won a round and have all ended top20 many times and do lots of 'officer' type work, they have gotten a lot stronger and asc a lot weaker
Also I dont see why everyone is assuming asc will side with app from tick 0, Theam/reese did much of the asc decision making last round.
1) app
2) ct
3) euph (if the inevitable anti-app block stays together for long enough that they don't get knocked down even further than 3rd)
Hitting app prolonged pretick 100 would be pretty smart to do.

Really? Reese, eksero, hude, theam, benneh and jbg are all in Apprime? I don't pay a lot of attention to the forums/pa these days as I'm trying to get uni work done and filed away - so I don't know whether you're making a funny, mista.
