At what point did asc resort to recruiting multiple account playing mid round sign ups? Its very easy to claim that asc had nothing to do with his multiple accounts, but the simple fact that he was "secretly" recruited mid round into 8:8 as an invitation player, makes me think that theres a little more to the story than the old "we got got played by a multi" corker D:
Claiming ignorance is a very easy thing to do, but i dont think too many people here would attach that quality to asc members.....
ps.... i might be going out on a limb here, but id say asc knew about his multying, perhaps even endorsed it... ive even got the logs

You're wrong. Simple as.

I'm getting really tired of this bs from you, since you won't listen to logic in pm, here goes:
We (8:8) were lacking a late sign up for about 2 days, inforza had somehow gotten talking to this jaY character and although he was signed up already, he said he would quit his planet to sign up in our gal. After some talk with fiery, he apparently got an exception (more than 1 player from same IP) and said he had given the old account to his roommate. Inforza also sponsered him for asc believing he was a good guy. To the best of my knowlegde he said maybe 3 words in there for the few days he was a member.
As time went on and he came out of protection it was becoming pretty clear he was in control of both accounts and abused this by escorting his new planet with the old one, in addition to that I found out that he was still idling in jenova channels. Inforza reports all this and spent 3 hours talking to fiery to get him closed (I'm sure they will both confirm this). Fiery looked into it and found enough evidence to close him and we exiled him from the gal, !remuser from asc. That's it, we were naive and trusted someone with an multihunter certificate of not multing. But its hardly an asc matter that one gal made a bad decision of who to invite as a late starter. And it sure as hell has nothing to do with the current topic.

Re: Given the recent rumours I've heard...
One thing i do find funny is i seem to remember CT "found" the password to #ascendancy last round, and funnily enough DarkHeart they didnt feel the need to tell us they had it and that we should kindly change our password, instead they placed a relay bot in our channel for as long as they could get away with it, but hey thats obviously different as they arent smart ass cnuts like us asc types!
This was simply a poor reason to attack which people jumped on probably out of boredom, and i found it quite good as i was also bored, i would think everyone was....
Other things..Jungle stoppit you just sound bitter, and lukey what has CT done to you, you used to be semi-cool, how unfortunate...

I know he was multiing, im asking you, as a member of Asc, if anyone in Asc and all their joint HC glory knew of this multiing and either assisted it, or perhaps even used it to their advantage?

hahaha. I was in his galaxy the first time he got closed this round. He's an amazing guy! But really, is there anyone in pa that asc won't recruit?
On a sidenote, this has been one of the shittest threads I've ever read (though I generally only read threads I start; so kinda inevitable).

Re: Given the recent rumours I've heard...
I find it really silly that 5-8(?) alliances are hitting a 2 man tag for cheating?
on another note.. with this jay matter. The day when muffin man pointed out something strange was going on with him idling in our chans whilst also having another late sign up account etc he did also point out that jay had stated he was allowed to play by fiery and give his account to his room mate.
Since when the **** can you give away your "old" accounts to other people? you can just be like.. right im off on holiday a couple of weeks here elviz take over my planet whilst im away..you can give it me back when i return. Is fiery completely missing the whole multihunter point here? multipersons using an account.. **** cares if it was at different stages of the planets life.. more than 1 person still used it.
Hate to say it.. fiery is a epic shit at her job

No disagreement there, and if it had been left at that then fine.
I don't know whether the server access was achieved by fair means or foul, and it doesn't really matter to me, but to expect huge chunks of this community to react any differently than they have (and im talking about the foaming at the mouth accusations here, not the incoming), I find honestly very surprising and not a little funny.
Especially since a few of the more well thought out Asc posts in rounds gone by generally demonstrate an extremely astute understanding of how "crowd mentality" among the masses who play this game works.

This is true, she allows stuff like this but last round, or 2 rounds ago (i don't remember correctly) she closed somebody for checking pa from his home & his work...
Strange thing is, she only decided to close him a couple of ticks after he landed on her

From a simplistic point of view; no. All members have invite powers, and although there is 48 hours of objecting possible, a relatively unknown late sign up can easily get in since well, no-one knows him. Maybe a few people would be strongly anti-vouched and therefore no recruitable, but getting into asc is not really hard.
From the alliances saying they just went along for cheap roids and moral booster, fair play, it was an easy offer to take and nothing I'd blame anyone for doing. So far xVx seems to have been most successfull, but there's ofc still a few landing ticks left.

Yeh, but I've already been in twice and left twice Last I heard I could have been asc this round too.. though I'm well aware that either a). my membership would have been removed within seconds to get pwned; b). I'd be banned everytime I joined the channel; c). I'd remember how shit asc is and part the channel before someone could ban me.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to attention whore by the way elalan! Maybe you're not so shit at the internet after all.

There's no difference. Both is a way of spying (although the TV-chans were mostly for big "lolz" (at least for me)) and neither is breaking any rules. Why someone suddenly, after 26(?) rounds of silence, thinks that having access to someone else's arbiter is a way of cheating is beyond my knowledge.
Had someone actually forced their way into the arbiter by hacking it, I would have understood, but this is so far beyond the ridiculous-line that you can't even see the line anymore.

Re: Given the recent rumours I've heard...
Am I reading Sandmans correctly?
no big ziks were roided. And seeing how most of them are Asc, I come to two conclusions.
1.
Asc pwned the universe.
2.
Zik with current stats is the worst balanced race ever to be created. ( zik r13 maybe worse)

i doubt ANY hc in pa rates spying as somethign bad...
breaking into a arby yes, but placing a spy in other alliances.. nope, intel is a big part of a wargame, how would we get it with playing nice?

Sandmans tells me Asc (or stoomtherevival or whatever you want to call them) went down 20% roids & only lost 0.4% score...
The ziks stole some stuff i'd say

I'd say they have stolen minimal amounts.. 11515 roids is 2303000 score (2.3M), they are down over 500k, and seing as many of them had massive stockpiles, i cant really see that they have stolen much.

He wasn't complaining about it, he was pointing out that CT are hardly 'holier than thou'.

Re: Given the recent rumours I've heard...
Can't blame religfree for not understanding what elalan meant, his previous post has to be one of the longest sentences known to mankind, and using commas everywhere, instead of proper punctuation, made it quite tedious to read, so perhaps like me, he decided not to read, the final part.
