A planet was closed that I suspected to be Eclipse as it attacked with Eclipse and defended with Eclipse, so perhaps it was just in one of your BG, or was a multi planet of an Eclipse member.
If my intel is so bad how did I have you found after about a day?

He was in Eclipse, and Eclipse was quite vicious with anyone we believed to be cheating. I kicked out a few members myself. In fact, there were various praises in how ruthless Eclipse command was with dealing with cheats or suspected cheats.

I would like to know which Eclipse planets are being closed, or infact any you believe to be cheating. Eclipse does not support cheating. (I do not imply that LDK does either with this, that is left to debate and there will always be a rift over it. Alot of "old timers" from back then think LDK cheated and nothing will change that.)

Is is cheating however. And probably with knowledge of the whole gal. Off course it is always nice to get a good galm8 if you have a top gal and are about to lose somebody. But that is also the risk of gaming. And accountswapping like that is therefor a big nono especially in private gals universe.
I suggested once to allow accountswapping for planets but reducing their fleet and recources to 50% and no swapping in first two weeks of a planets existance. That way gals are slightly protected against sudden player drop outs for whatever reasons but still have a pretty high cost on it.

2 people were closed in M&S round 7. Morden for swapping into the galaxy and Jackal for providing fake account info. Morden was then Fury and left Fury. He did join eclipse, but is not currently an eclipse member. Fury's policy on cheating was less than that of eclipse. Fury booted cheaters deleted by PA crew. Eclipse boots cheaters regardless of PA crews actions. But both those policies are more progressive than what LDK has right now.
As far as account swapping, replacing an active player who suddenly cant be active anymore in a private round with another active player is just about the least bit of cheating you can do. THere is no non-competitive advantage. All it does is take away the rl luck factor from galaxy competition. And frankly I dont think that members of your gal losing internet etc should be what decides private galaxy rounds. I think its better for the game if players can be replaced. But that hardly matters anymore. And Morden managed to be just as inactive as the guy he replaced, so in the end it was a bit of a wash for us in that dept.
