Alert Status on being attacked.

(Moved to its own thread).

Two things may occur with this suggestion:
1) Would most likely reduce multi fleets a planet would get.
2) Also may spread attacks through out the day.

Summary
1) Everyone starts on status "Green".

2) Once you get attacked your status get modified, decreasing the max cap loss on the next incoming.

3) Every tick your not attacked your status decreases, which may increase cap loss.

In Depth

The values used in modifying status would be

Code:
Landed Hostile	= +4 Point
No hostiles	= -1 Point
NOTE: not sure on teamups on same wave yet

Code:
Status Green	= 1-2	= 25% Cap Loss
Status Yellow	= 3-4	= 15% Cap Loss
Status Red	= 5-10	= 5% Cap Loss
NOTE: If Alert Level is above 10 then its dropped down to 10

Example

So lets say your on Status Green (0 Alert Value), and you get 3 incoming hostiles 1 tick apart.

First Wave
When the first one lands he caps 25%, then adds +4 to the Alert Level. Because the Alert Level is at +4 (=4) your Alert Status changes to Yellow (2-4) and posts it in your news "Alert level set to Yellow".

Second Wave
Second wave hits, they cap 15% (Yellow Alert Max Cap). After roid capping Alert Level is increased by +4 (=8), bringing it into range of Red Alert (5-10), which is then announced in your news "Alert level has been increased to Red".

Third Wave
Now the max cap for red alert is set to 5%, meaning its very little in the way of roids. But if the attacker does land then it adds +4 (=12) to the Alert Level after capping roids. But because the max Alert level can only be 10 then its dropped down (=10).

Now for every tick with no hostile your alert status drops by 1, so within 10 ticks your back on Green Status.

So if anyone wants full cap after an attacker landed, they would have to wait 4 ticks. But at 15% its not too bad.

Notes:
I did modify this from my earlier posted idea, because a player can be hit twice on green if the attackers spaced out by 1 tick on the first set of waves ( 1-3/4-7/8-10 v 1-2/3-4/5-10 ).

this is too abusable via "friendly hostiles".

Get yourself attacked with 1 ship by friendly planets every 4 ticks to have your losses permanently minimised.

I like this idea, and if implented well could reducing the farming on the smaller guys.

You could have it so as it only changes if the attacker actually caps most of the availible roids when he lands. So your 1 pod friendly attackers wont change the status, or a fully defended attack that lands and crashes for that matter.

Also, will the Alert Status be availble for all to see? A number beside you planet or a coloured flag beside your planet?

I dislike it for the reason that mathematician gave; I'd prefer a decent variable cap rate based on planet score ratios.

If anything, this will increase the number of fleets flying towards newbs, since they will hang on to their roids longer.

will at least give them a chance to build something to fight back with, and i doubt people will attack as much if the alert status is public.

that being said, i'm still against this unless proper measures are taken to prevent abuse.
