IFA-C Insane Fighting Arena Championships
Thats right, the Insane Fighting Arena - Championship is back for yet another tournament. Eight contestants battle it out to become the IFA Champion. Previous champions from various forums include Inspectre, Fluffie, Ynten, Narceleptic Frog and yours truly, me.
The Arena itself is set specifically for one on one fighting where anyone can fight and those watching cannot be harmed. There are, however, a certain set of rules which must be followed at all times during combat:
- Only two combatents at a time (dependant on the tournament grid)
- No vehicles of any sorts, including mechs, hovers, ships, etc
- You have 48 hours to duel each other before the battle is finished and the judges make their scoring desicions (along with the scoring average, judges' comments and Ynten's comments)
- All combatents must realise that Ynten is the overall owner and the main judge in ALL IFA-C events, therefore her desicion and rulings are final.
- No mass-destruction of any sorts allowed, including FIDO units, magiks/psychics that is overpowering and certainly no Godmodding
- No 'instant-escaping', you can escape most things, but dodging bullets and then escaping a psychic shot without a single scar is defiantly not allowed. Everything hurts, deal with it
- Respawning is allowed, however usage of the Respawner can result in you loosing the battle.
- No leaving the arena, doing so will result in an instant forfeit which may include the opponent winning or a new combatent being found to take over for you
- Have fun, no point in an arena without fun
Each battle will be assessed by the IFA-C Team. Each member of the team will be judging certain factors of the battle. Maximum mark in any IFA-C is 40 points. These factors are:
Post Quality - Not a point-scoring factor, however this is very important if you wish to score high in any of the other four areas. Without post quality, you're a newbie.
Style - The better your style, the better your range of moves and how you do them. Shooting too simple for you, this is the skill that will show your versitility in all different ranges.
Aggression - If you are a pansy and you don't tackle things head on, you'll definalty score low here. Aggression shows your emotions during battle and how you tacvkle battles.
Damage - This shows how much damage you have inflicted on your opponent according to the judge's eyes. However this mark also shows how you make that damage also, a nuke or heavy explosive would mean a very low mark, whereas a well-placed bullet or a knife delicatly placed would score high.
Control - This mark shows your control over difficult situations and almost co-incides with the Aggression mark.
Your IFA-C Team for this arena are:
- Ynten (Owner, Proprietor and Head Judge of the IFA-C, Judges Post Quality)
- AcidK (Head Commantator, Event Planner and Judges Damage)
- JoeNineT (Judges Style and Aggression)
- Narceleptic Frog (Judges Control)
If you wish to be a part of the IFA-C, please write our name in the below numbers:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.

If there are not enough people then I can easily knock the number down to 4 combatents

Re: IFA-C Insane Fighting Arena Championships
how do you built your fighter? who/how do you determine speed, strenght, agility, etc, or where do you pick up equipment? what are the min and max ability score (if any) that are used. i got my idea of a fighter i d like to built (based on the rpg secret sevices) but i need guide lines to make him/her accurately.

Re: IFA-C Insane Fighting Arena Championships
ok.. let s see how this fighter rates then!
Karina Shadows grew up in many unusual places, as her father traveled the world, as a top martial fighter.
when she got old enough, her father trained her in all kind of martial technics, like aikido, karate, jutsitsu, kendo, and even some ninja skills. as she grew older, her father trained her harder, including 5 miles running, 10 km swim, and lot of gymnastic.
when she got into university, she also got interviewed by secret services from different countries, but refused them, thinking her abilities meaningless against bullets and such. as time passed though, her father got kidnap my religious fanatics, making threats to kill him if their demands were not met. that s when she join a group called t.i.a.r.a (trained infitration and rescue agency) who gave her more training in stealth, weaponry and physical training. having been train already by her father in many such areas, she got through the training program quite fast. they then gave her a suit of kevlar, helmet and weapons of her choosing (electical shurikens considered equal to tazer gun darts). the suit being reinforced with a thin titanium/steel lining, so bullet and blades cut in with very high difficulty. her helmet is equip with infrared lens that slip up or down on mental command. but her prefered weapons are her punch and kicks, due to her high speed and agility.
though she look diminutive, she could press well over 200 pds without too much strain, making her punch and kick very hard to digest. she s now 5f 8 in, 140 pds, well muscled and with a quick, sharp mind.
her special technic are 1)shuriken star burst : 5 shurikens thrown simultaneously in 5 pointed star patern
2)flip dive kick
3)tiger grip (2 hands rake (eyes) and a double feet kick in the back)
4)death punch (strong punch in vital area that stun or kill)
5)Shadow`'s touch (paralysing pinch)
more technic are being research by the young fighter!
by the way , she did rescue her father, to the amazement of t.i.a.r.a high command.

Re: IFA-C Insane Fighting Arena Championships
This is NOT a skill or stat-based RPG, it is a freeflow one on one combat arena. You make an attack with your post, your opponent then replies with his/her attack and then you continue like that until the arena is over

I believe "overpowering" - much like a number of other terms mentioned in the rules - is meant to be taken in a 'relative' sense
