Is there anything you can get away with while being under the influence of alcohol?

I killed all my next door neighbour's fish with soap and smashed a window (supposedly, not to my recollection of course ).

Btw, why is alcohol the only legal drug? (without perscription) (in this country)

I saw this episode of Quincy once where this guy ran someone over and then drank loads of gin so that he'd be done for drink driving instead of murder, so I guess if you want to run someone over being drunk will get you a much lighter sentence.

By the way, the guy got done for murder in the end cos Quincy (the hero that he is) figured out that the guy wasn't drunk when he did it cos he had a blood clot or some shit in his knee and the blood there didn't have alcohol in it.

drunken intent is still intent, i.e. you have to be so utterly bladdered to the extent that you have no control of your actions to have a defence of intoxication.
