There are many Planetarion "Spin Off's"

What I would like to see is quite simple! We the paying customers can choose which round we would like to play!

For example if I wanted to play round one or 2 3 4 5 6 7.... Then I could do so!

Also I propose speed rounds be run at the same time as normal rounds.... this will stop people getting bored!

Also there should be flash games and other kewl stuff and ways to earn more resources by playing flash games!!

Just an idea...

you want to further divide the playerbase?
are you quite insane? there are few enough people as it is without further splitting them up into seperate rounds that they want to play in

Thats a terrible set of ideas.

Phil^ basically said it. Plus on the practical side, think of the extreem strain this would put on the coders.

Plus the fact that no one actually has a copy of the original code from that far back.

This was an idea which was used for the recent World Cup, in which we used Science vs War, which had a very mixed reaction from the community.

Speedgames stagnate VERY quickly and people will have to divide up between NGs and SGs which means one game will be lacking the same commitment as it would be impossible [for example] for a scanner to operate on both the NG and the SG.

Earning resources other than the ways which are already existing can easily lead to abuse; its not that hard to "simulate" results in a Flash game and would/could easily to lead to mass abuse.

Fr0sten we would all love old PA but the only thing and repeat only thing that made it good was the amount of players it had. The actual stats were pretty terrible but it was irrelevant.

round 1-5 it was quantity not quality of players. as there was so many the bad stats wernt to obvious.

Round 5+ is quality not quantity. As we only have 2k players left the stats have to be good or else they can be abused to easily.

have you noticed the amounts of ziks this round???

On a somehow related sidenote.

One part of the problem with discussing changes or suggestions to PA is that "the community" and some from pa-team are vigorously defending how it always has been in a desperate attempt to "keep the remaining players" aka themselves and their mates.

That doesnt leave much room for suggestion/changes which could maybe alienate 300 of the current players (who would leave sooner or later anyhow because they are growing weary about PA and just wait for the next occasion to move on) but could make the game interesting enough for 2000 new players to join.

Maybe a change which alienates half of the current userbase but makes the game interesting for many new players would be a good thing to freshen this community a bit and overcome stagnation.

I think the focus is too much on the current community instead of a community and players PA would want/need in the future.

ps: Maybe a first step would be to deny old members like me to participate in discussions about the future of PA. Stop asking people who are around for 3, 4 or 5 years but only collect the opinions by people who play for 6 months at most.

Pl@netia last rounds has been alot more fun than planetarion imo. And shows that if not totally fked blocks the old way of playing beats PAX.

Community isnt the same though, which might be a good and bad thing at times ^^
