Good downloadable book readings? (help!)
At this moment in time i have no responsibilities. Also, a substantial proportion of my friends are away on holiday, or are leaving within the next couple of days.

I also have very little motivation or lust for life at this moment, and i cant be bothered leaving my bed besides eating or going to the toilet. Except that ive finally discovered reading again after a long absence (i didnt even read the three books i chose for my advanced higher english dissertation, i read one, scanned another, and blagged the third based on an analysis written by someone else).

What i find though, is reading is too quiet and lonely. But ive always enjoyed tapings, cassettes of readings of books.

It just occurred to me that there probably is downloadable mp3s/wavs of book readings on the internet somewhere.

Naturally my question is; where can i find such websites? And what books, read by whom do you reccomend?

edit : Alternately, try your local library. My local library has over a hundred "talking books" for loan, gratis.
