Using IE for more than 10 minutes used to be enough to crash it for me. Thats why I'm using Opera now.

sadly it doesn't work on my machine. is it cos I am using NT, or is the CD drive too old?

it is more likely to be the type of browser you are using, some prevent VBscripting and the similar.
The OS has nothing to do with it.

In theory: yes...
The CD player thingy is a VB-script. So if your apple browser supports VB-script, it will work.
If you have VB-script disable in your browser, it won't work.
